, the business lounges staying open this year during Christmas, ....... the introduction of a new later flight MEL-LAX, the re-scheduled LHR flights offering a choice of flight times, the announcement of the Tokyo Haneda route and subsequent increase in Japan flying, ....
OF course some prefer to focus on a few negatives.... that's fine, but I prefer to look on the upside.

Well, easy for you to talk about positives. I can see you are not from either PER or ADL. All those international flight enhancements and talk of business lounges. I wish we had an upside to look on.

Having said that, I certainly do appreciate your input Red Roo and please don't take any negatives from us personally.

And before I get the usual "just another Perth whinger", be very honest - exactly how would those of you from BNE, MEL and SYD really feel about having to fly to PER first to go to SE Asia, the US, Europe together with no upgrades on your Emirates flights to the US - and that's before we even get into no Dom Bus lounge and no First Lounges?

Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas.

To be fair PER is getting a J-Lounge domestically, so at least that is a positive of sorts.

PER will also get a non-stop service to Istanbul next year.

QANTAS Plans One-off Istanbul Charter Service in late-April 2015 | Airline Route

Thanks for your contributions this year Red Roo, and have a Merry Christmas.

Hopefully 2015 will be more prosperous for Qantas, so we can continue to see the introduction of new routes and improvements in service.

Looking forward to seeing what the MU JV will bring, what the 2nd destination from NRT will be, and, hopefully, the conversion of some 787 options for international expansion.

Merry Christmas Red Roo ... and all AFF members!

Merry Christmas

I hope enhancing "Merry Christmas" to "Happy Holidays" in your greeting was an oversight and not a corporate decision to de-Christmas this Christmas time of year.

Goodness, I hope we don't follow others down this silly PC sinkhole.

maybe Red Roo is Jewish.... does it really matter? Seriously, is there a need to be negative or complain in every single thread? Just be happy

Thank you for your support this year Red Roo and A very Merry Christmas to you and everyone.

Best wishes for the (short!) break RR - may you recover, enjoy quality time with family and friends, and recharge.

I think it's great QF is devoting a resource (or more) to being part of this community which clearly is a niche for them in terms of contact channels. You can never please everyone, but just having you here helping where you can means a lot to many I am sure.. and it's a lot better than nothing.

thank you again for all your efforts over the last year :)

:) .. HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL .. and best wishes for Christmas ..

Yes, I'm shouting.

Merry Christmas and a complaint free 2015 (like that's going to happen!!) Red Roo and all the joeys. And best wishes to all on the forum, safe flying and while delays can't be avoided, I hope that yours have as little impact as possible.

Thank you for being of personal service to me Red Roo as well as helping all other AFFers where possible. Often it's a thankless job you do. Best wishes to you, your family and your loved ones. May Santa be generous to you all.

Merry Christmas Red Roo - I'll be sure to sink a few Coopers Pales tomorrow for you here in BKK.
Look forward to seeing what QF has in store for us all next year - hoping there are some positive enhancements for everyone, regardless of where they may be based!!

Merry Christmas Red Roo. I look forward to sharing a glass of something when next we cross paths.

And Merry Christmas to all AFFers, where-ever you may be.

Onya Red Roo, thanks for your help when I've needed it this year.

Have a safe and happy break!

Couldn't care less about Business lounge or First Lounge.

Oh and I have been through PER to/from SIN/HKG more times than I care to remember. All part of the plan to earn more SCs and QFF points which to be honest has been lost in the new earning tables but I was not afraid to connect via PER to further my status and points balance.

While the thread title reads "Happy Holidays from Red Roo", the last line of my post is wishing AFFers a safe and happy Christmas.

Perhaps I should have stuck to "Out Of Office" to avoid confusion or cause offence...that certainly wasn't my intention.

Thank you all for the kind words and good wishes for the year ahead. I'm enjoying the start of my holiday singing along to Carols by Candlelight!
