Famous people seen (or even met) whilst flying or lounging

Could be an interesting guy to talk to, did you recognise him from what he looked like or by talking to him or something else ? Not the kind of person i would think many would notice just by chance.
E

I've worked in international relations and trade all my life so have an eye for people in the community, I'm also a news addict, so I recognised him straight off.

I didn't speak to him, he was in 1A and I was in 2K on an LH 330-300. I was working most of the flight so didnt notice him until later.

Tim Fischer - Former Deputy PM at Albury airport 26.5.08... st in the little diner there... he had a wrap for lunch... think it was chicken :)
Then off he went on a QANTAS link flight... I was on Rex!

Ou r family sat opposite Vince Spadea (Boston Legal) on Boston to LA flight in First in Sep 2005. We flew over the grand canyon and he was happy for our 3 kids toclamber over his seat and look out at the view. :)

Unexpectedly bumped into the famous Dave Noble in Kowloon last night. We just happened to both be transiting and staying within an easy walk of each other.

Did you get a photo... and an autograph?:D

No, but I did buy dinner :D. Neither of us realised the other was in HKG last night until we saw each other on-line on MSN and almost simultaneously sent "hello from HKG" messages.

Hello - my first post here :D

I met (and asked for an autograph on my BP from) ZZ Top (American Band) in the 1980's . The guys were standing in front of me, about to board a flight from the Gold Coast to SYD. They were really nice and happy to write an autograph . Now I cant find that BP anymore.

Sitting here in the BNE QP with Kieran Perkins at the moment. Nice to see we are all delayed. Flights leaving about an hour late (for those with aircraft on the ground awaiting departure), or later if the operating aircraft were flying in (as some had been transferred to MCY or OOL to wait it out).

Nice to see you here Downunder Girl

I saw Darren Beadman at the boarding gates an hour before our SYD-HKG flight a couple months back. (he would definitely be a regular on this route).

Strange he would be at the gate waiting rather than in one of the lounges. He was in D and my mate was seated next to him in flight.

Left him alone as it looked he wanted some privacy.

I presume Anna is indeed meaning the Film Director Scott Hicks. Much lesser known (as the Direcor of Shine) than the main actor Geoffrey Rush.

On my return flight CBR/BNE on Fri night, wndered why J was pretty empty after I thought most pax had boarded. Then came the pollies from the CL - including my Senator, Barnaby Joyce. That filled up the 763's J cabin.

Wow, with such esteemed company  in the CL, one has to wonder exactly what the allure is?
