Missy Higgins flying TSV-SYD last Friday as part of her current tour was in the TSV QFP - she crossed paths with my Mum at the magazine rack (who didn't know who she is and was in TSV as part of the whirlwind tour of eastern Oz I'm taken her on for her visit from he UK) - Missy was extremely polite and well mannered - nice to see such a talented person!

The entitlement under the Member of Parliament (Life Gold Pass) Act 2002 is summarised as follows:
My memory is a little hazy, but I'm almost 100% certain that the previous Act (amended as indicated in 2002) was far more generous. Hawkie would be subject to the conditions of the Gold Pass issued when he retired, unless the amended Act says otherwise.

Flying from South Africa to Syd I was sitting across the aisle from Bryce Courtney. The connecting flight from Syd to Brisbane had Tim Mander the NRL referee, and one Pat Cash who spent the whole cruise in the galley talking with the flight attendants.

Often around this time of the year on the Qantaslink Network the dash 8s are full of past and present NRL players heading out to do coaching clinics in rural areas.

Presumably one would hope to avoid having to set next to a front row forward ... :D ... imagine two forwads beside each other.

One Sunday evening I flew BNE to MEL on a 73H; the Storm boys filled the front 4 rows of WHY. I did not see who got to sit in row 5 which has about 4cm less leg room.

Francis Rossi & Rick Parfitt business class between Melb & Canb  :D :D (Status Quo for those below 35)
Kimberly Davies Melb & LAX her at the pointy end of the plane, me at the back. Her millionaire husband was with her though

Once on a flight from MEL with John Wood (Blue Heelers).

About a month ago sat behind the NRL Refs on a flight to BNE.

Always see the odd footballer doing the rounds in the QP.

Daniel Johns and Natalie Imbruglia just left the QP in MEL.

Was he "Walking in a Straight Line" or did he consume too many HPs?

Stood in front of Ricky Ponting with his wife and children in the Taxi line at T3 in SYD. All of them had just returned from MEL in J class. Why are all their wives so attractive? ;)

Ditto - sat across aisle from him, sat next to Glenn Shorrock from Mel.

Saw John Eales recently on escalators up to QP in T3, but he walked straight ahead to CL, and I turned into QP!

Also sat behind Fmr RBA Governor McFarlane last week.

Last month (August 17th) QF 433 SYD-MEL - J class, Gina Riley and Jane Turner (Kath and Kim). In July Baz Luhrmann on QF 843 DRW-SYD, J Class.

I also regularly see ex pollies and serving pollies, high profile legal eagles ... and some who have been identified in the media as "colorful racing" or "colorful business" identities (they're usually the one's with tatts and lots of gold chains - who decline the chardonnay or shiraz and ask (should I say demand) for a Jim Beam and Coke !

Also about 2 months ago was in the QP around 8am on a Sunday morning.

Cooking some of my favourite toast for brekky and this skinny lady with short hair stood next to me.

After she proceeded back to the corner with baby in hand, I noted it was Jessica Rowe with her young one and hubby Peter Overton.

Not even a CL member.....

Big Maxy Walker PER-BNE last month, he is a CL.

Big Max Walker accompanied a group of us SYD-AKL-EZE-GIG-MCO about 20 yrs ago (back when planes were all silver & shiny  ). For some reason we needed his exceptional motivational skills on that trip.

Lots of people have seen me on a flight :D

Yes but none us know where we remember you from, was it "Australia's Most Wanted", or "Australian Idol":p

Natalie Imbruglia (on QF of course) in J on a flight from Syd to Mel.

Lovely person, signed for kids that came up from the main cabin without complaint and got on the mike 'welcoming' everyone to Melbourne... was really great!
