Emirates Skywards Questions

Thanks for that. Just need to figure out which ones on EK 409.
May need to pm Eightblack - he seems to know what the deal is at EK!

Emirates seems to have a very confusing list of varied aircraft configs. Between the Emirates website, seatuguru.com and seatexpert.com, I can't find any consistency that helps me determine what aircraft have suites in F and what don't.

Using expertflyer.com, is it safe to assume that flights with a P bucket have suites while those without P (only F and A for First) don't have suites?

According to EK, P on expertflyer.com denotes Private First Suites. The absent of P means 'old' F.

So, am I right in that the message from this thread is, anything other than the A380 is pretty ordinary with Emirates?

Sent from my HTC Desire using AustFreqFly

Whilst the A380 is certainly superior, their other metal is also better than average, at least in Y. And the service is amazing. For leisure flights we always try to fly EK (although it's usually just to NZ so it's easy to be better than QF/DJ/JQ). Flew J once to Christchurch in their 777 and it was good but wouldn't want to do long-haul in that seat. The lounge in Sydney is one of the best around.

Totally agree about their 777. The J product is great and their lounges are about the best around IMHO. I have used the 777 from BNE to AKL,SIN and DXB and enjoyed the food, wine and service

The Emirates lounge in MEL and AKL are nothing special

There are also a few 777-300ER's with the older J going around :(

Have to agree. MEL J lounge is nothing special - compared to SQ J in SIN or EK F in DBX. No comparison!

Does door 1L get used for disembarkation on the A380 in Dubai and Bangkok? A strange question, I know.

I was supposed when a recent QF A380 flight I was on didn't disembark at 1L.

Door U1L was used for boarding and disembarkation at DXB and BKK. Door M1L was used for boarding in DXB.

any info about release dates for award tickets (using QFF points)? OMAAT suggests 340 days, but i can't see any availability this far out

cheers

sorry if this is the wrong place to put it, but the only possibly relevant thread was about 5 years old and only half relevant

being a first class virgin, im just trying to get a gauge of what the best first class is in the world, most people say emirates, while a few people say they are well overrated

from my research, the A380, has the onboard bar and showers, and are like enclosed rooms

for me personally, since first class is multple times more expensive than business class, I would expect to be treated like mariah carey the diva

perks such as onboard showers, bars, unlimited dom perignon, 25 yr old scotch, henessey paradis cognac (ive been told thye got rid of this recently), unlimited caviar, any food on the menu on demand, food to be like michelin star restaruant, first class lounge to be like a michelin restaurant or posh bar, all my luggage to be carrier for me, chauffeur to and from airport

ive read the newer 777s dont have onboard showers and bars, which kind of is a real downer.

am I expecting too much?

Emirates showers operating on 380 flts at the moment? Somebody mentioned to me in last couple days thought they werent’t?

Anybody experienced EU-DXB-MEL with EK lately? Mask requirements onboard? Mask requirements in DXB Terminal / F Lounge?

I booked a couple of flights on EK (EK flight #) and initially entered my QFF number, but then realised it would produce only a handful of points. So I joined Skywards and went back, but manage my booking won't allow me to change to the Skywards number. Anyone else had this issue?

Haven't had the issue, but I think you need to call to make the change.

Yeah just jump on the online chat and they will likely answer straight away and can have it done on the backend instantly.
