Perth is due to get Aldi for the first time in 2016. I would have preferred a couple of Costco stores but at least it is a start to getting prices out of gouge territory.

It seems WW are taking a leaf out of the QF playbook - 'Simpler and Fairer'. It is certainly simpler and probably fairer. I will miss the odd bonus point offers but in reality they never made much of a difference to one's QF point balance and I assume the dreaded $30 spending hurdle (except for the petrol discount) will now be gone and that all your spending (except for the normal exclusions - tobacco, gift cards, etc,.) will now contribute to earning your $10 rebates.

The impact for QF will be greater if they were planning to sell a shareholding in its QFF program as active member numbers will almost certainly decline now.

No, not all your spending, only the stuff with the special orange tickets. I assume that this will be overpriced, high-margin cough. Articles mentioned earlier in this thread suggest that the "average" shopper will get a $10 rebate after spending $750.

Costco would have been good, but I'm happy to take whatever we can get here in WA! I see there's signage up in Mirrabooka Square saying that Aldi will open there mid-2016, so it will be interesting to see what happens when they open up, as there's both Coles and Woolies in that shopping centre.

Sunday is one of the days that EDR? usually send out targeted offers. I am guessing that they have held off this time and might send out a stream of offers on Tuesday. The new webpage suggests there will still be targeted offers but don't include details of exactly what they will be apart from pointing out from the onset that they will be different for different people.

Now that the EDR website is the WR website, how on earth does one check that their most recent bonus points have been credited (before they hit QFF obviously)???

I suspect you will need to call ... even the dockets now simply state you have earned "at least 1 point" for $31 or more rather then the actual amount.

I don't even want to try - I have no interest in Woolies Rewards... And i don't want them to think that i do.

I will scan my EDR IF i spend over $30 and thats it, and only until 31 Dec.

Will be interesting to know if woolies checks or even cares those of us who don't use the new system.

Sadly Woolies is the most convenient for me to shop at so i will continue to shop there when convenient.

Although I am not sure where people are getting the opinion that Coles is cheaper.

Yesterday i got a specials email and it said that BBQ Shapes were on sale for $3 instead of $4.20. I just thought i would check what they are at woolies and the are half price... not that big of a difference except when you notice that there normal price is $3!!!


I think I am going to start shopping at the markets near me every Saturday and the local butcher.
