Double Status Credits on QF Operated Flights. Book 9/8/18-14/8/18 for travel 21/8/18 to 8/8/19

This week (in fact, starting today) will see the first of my DSC-booked flights credited. In total, the DSC bookings are expected to net me 1530SCs (!!!) in the next four months alone, tipping me over LTG and requalifying WP for at least another year.

Uh are you referring to THIS promotion(ie: the one with bookings from 9-14 August)??? If so, flights taken before August 21st (Tuesday) will NOT qualify for DSC. Just be aware of this.

Question: half of these flights are booked in M fares (flexible). There will be times I need to leave earlier than anticipated. If I rock up to the airport and "fly ahead" using the same ticket/fare, just on an earlier flight, will I still get the DSC's?

yes, you should.

Good point. First qualifying flight will be on Friday then. It will be a “fly ahead” scenario so I’ll report back when posted.

I just checked my account and no double credits were applied, followed the guidelines for registration, booking and travel. Looks like I have to wait up to six weeks to see if they get credited to my account.

The first lot usually take a little longer to post, I certainly wouldnt expect them within a day of flying.

Patience grasshopper! To show you the likely time lag for posting of DSC's, here's mine from the February 2018 offer:

The first DSC given on 20th Feb (15SC's) was for an ADL/BNE flight taken on 14th Feb. So as you can see, pretty much 3-4 days later (if the system is working for you) they should post, but some are as long as 5-7 days. It all depends on when they you flew and when they run their next batches to credit the DSC. But QF are consistently inconsistent, so don't hold your breath.

Hi all, hoping someone knows the answer to the pickle I'm in.
I booked a multi-city trip (six sector all domestic) when the double status points offer was on last week. I would like to change one sector in the middle of the trip. Does anyone know if I will lose double status points for the whole trip, or just for that sector? Thank you!

If previous DSC campaigns are a guide you’ll be fine. I’ve changed the dates and flights in whole bookings in the past and so long as the PNR is retained DSC’s post for the entire trip

Steady on Cobber! The first eligible flight could only have been taken two days ago.. and even if the original SC's posted immediately (some do, some don't)... you're BARELY into the window now where a run may see DSC post.

Before panicing I'd wait at least a week.. maybe even a bit longer as the initial DSC's do seem to take a bit longer to post.

Either way, you're being a bit keen imho :)

Thanks PJM! Appreciate the quick response. :)

I have a related question - looking at changing a BA flight which sits within a QF booking that I made during double status creds. Currently fly DUS-LCY, LHR-SYD, looking to change to DUS-LHR-SYD. Obviously no bonus credits for the BA flight, but will this affect my bonus earning for the QF flight if the routing and dates change slightly?

So long as the flight dates are still within the date range window( for travel between 21/8/18 and 8/8/19) and you aren't cancelling the booking and trying to get the refund and make a new booking (which I'm sure you wouldn't do ;) ), then I see no reason why it would affect the existing (or changed) QF flights.

Ok great, thanks for the response.

Hi, I did ask QFF centre this but do I trust the answer ? my last booking for DSC is 29th august and my year end is 31st of august - I need those DSC to qualify Platinum - if they are credited after 31/8 am I okay ? I was told it is based on when they are earned but I know on 1/9 it clocks back to zero

Yes, you’re okay as they will be counted based on the earn (flight) date, rather than the posting date - even if there has been a rollover of membership year.

If for some unknown reason they don’t then a call to the QFF Centre should fix the issue

Has anyone worked out if there is a pattern to when double status promos are run? So far there has been feb and aug this year .
The bummer for me last time was I had just booked a few flights in Jan . Though this time was able to maximise . Cheers

My first flights are Monday & Tuesday next week - being domestic I’m expecting SC’s and DSC’s to post in normal timeframes.
