Double Points and DSC [Book by 8/9/17, fly by 6/9/18]

Given the amadeus limitation it did make me wonder that the window for this promo is till 8/9/18 which as of today is outside of what is actually able to be booked. Curious.
I guess someone who didn't understand that chose the dates. Maybe whoever did the dates in the past was on leave, moved to another position in QANTAS or left QANTAS.
 
hmm slight hitch with ticketing tonight. Seems like the NZ Amex caused some issues and needed rectifying via call centre for manual ticketing

lady on the premium line told me that DSC is based on the date that the booking was made so a delay in ticketing beyond the promo period will not affect me getting DSCs as the booking was made within the period

anyone had similar experiences?
 
SWMBO and I got the offer. We're still flying our way thru the earlier DSC offer with our membership year ending Mar 18. At the 11th hour I've taken out some cheap insurance:) with a plan to make some claims in the new year - fingers crossed!

I'd keep as good a record as possible of the conversation, and perhaps even call again to ask / ensure that double SCs will apply. I'd be slightly worried that the system will only go by time of ticketing.

I booked, literally, dozens of flights for colleagues during the last promo.
These were corporate bookings that don't get ticketed until two days before travel.
As long as you have the booking reference you'll be OK.
There's no mention of 'ticket' or 'ticketed' in the T&Cs.

In the past, plenty of people have had bookings created during the promotion that for one reason of another have not ticketed till later. As far as I know they have always got the bonus
 
I still have my Syd -Lhr rtn in J booked in late Nov from the last double SC promo...the 1120 SCs would just about requalify me Plat til Oct 19 :)....but as you know, I'm semi boycotting Qf!

The stated booking window is until 6/9/18 - just means someone calculated it from 18 September, rather than 8 September.
 
It will be interesting to see if they run the across the board DSC offer again in Feb or Mar next year or keep us on our toes with another variation.

I am providing this information for those who did not get the targeted DSC offer. As a data point, I have never received a targeted SC offer but have used the general one. MrsM a WP only by my P1 status seems to get a few SC offers a couple of time a year.

As background there are 3 of us (1 is a minor) and until recently all used the same email address. MrsM also gets lots of targeted and general offers from Coles and Woolworths, I did not receive any. After separating our email accounts I started to get offers.

That got me thinking and decided to separate our QFF numbers from being a common email to individual. As an aside I needed to ring QF as the DFA for MissM’s was not working (an error on the QF side) however during the conversation the CCA provided me with information that seems to be loggerheads with others (AFF) experience. In short, I was informed, as a WP1 I am automatically excluded from all targeted offers. Reading posts from others here this seems odds with others experience.

Anyhow as we each now have a unique email address I will be interested to see how things go in the future.

Even without bonus SC offers I have retained my current status, I have no idea how this is simpler and fairer.

It's definitely not based on ticketing date. I've tested this before.

The info is definitely rubbish. I personally know 5 P1s including myself who got this DSC offer.

It's PNR creation date/time.

Hence gift vouchers purchased during the "booking" period are eligible for DSCs. And conversely, gift vouchers purchased before the promo but redeemed during the period are ineligible (though AFFers have reported success in getting them anyway).
 
My mistake - I have benefited from the vouchers in the past, so should have known. Apologies.
