Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

thanks guys

Its either a system problem for me or its because I never received the original email with the code and its targeted to those people only.

it may be that you had to make a Cellardoor.co purchase during the period that there was incorrect/missing wording on the invoice. it was compensation for their stuff up

thats what I'm thinking. It was working when I tested last week and now its not. They probably fixed the problem for those that didnt make a purchase at that time

Went to my local BWS yesterday in Melb.. The clearance items they had were not as cheap as other stores when looking online. When I mentioned this to the manager he stated he could do the same as the others (I believe 40% off RRP and then a further 10% when buying six). He wanted to clear them for a new display of Spirits that were going on clearance e.g. the BB Patricia would then come down to $29.

Might take another visit up. Hoping there would be no issues with using a Woolies GC in this scenario

I would ask them to scan them to check the shelf price is right. I've had a couple that the online price was the correct price once scanned, but the shelf price was a lot higher.

It didn't say 679 ratings/votes when I looked? (only 17)

Just saw an email from Dan Murphy's with the pre release pricing for the new Penfolds wines.

Penfolds/Dans are taking the piss with their pricing. Some high(low)lights include;

- Bin 707 $608 in a 6 pack
- Bin 138 (yuck) $57 in a 6 pack
- Bin 407 $105 in a 6 pack

You'd have to be a pretty hardcore sicko Penfolds fan to buy them pre release at those prices.....they will have to drop 30%+ in the next 6-12 months.

They made tonnes of Penfold every year, they are no way as rare as Rockford or Lakes Folly. Not sure what is the point of getting it "Pre-release"...
