Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals

Google suggest East End Cellars has some that they will sell you. Buy Wine Online | Wine News | Wine Information | Adelaide Wine Store - New Release Rockford and SC Pannell amongst other great Shiraz. Plus more tastings...

2013 SC Pannell Adelaide Hills Syrah
Another ripping new release the S.C. Pannell Syrah! Fruit sourced from Echunga at 410 metres above sea level. Fragrances of fresh dark fruits with dried spices leap out of the glass and as the wine flows in a seamless manner on the palate, the complexity builds with layers of savoury fruit and delicate fresh herbs - more Rhone than Oz.

$27.00 in any six, $30.00 per bottle - BUY ONLINE

Is there a thread where one can ask for advice where a particular wine can be purchased from? For example, I have searched on numerous websites / google searches to try and locate a 2013 S.C. Pannell Syrah or a 2010 Penfolds St. Henri (both hard to come by).

A thread where a poster could list a wine(s) they are currently looking.... a fellow poster may know of a store/location where one could this from which can be easily communicated (vs hours searching far and wide on google)?

That being said ... any ideas on S.C. Pannell Syrah 2013 would be appreciated (currently the only place I can find it is when I visit the top of the Rialto (Lui Bar) and Super Club). Unfortunately slightly difficult trying to negotiate a "take-away" bottle!

wine-searcher.com does a good job, but you need a Pro subscription to see all the results

Pro Version

It's also something that happens regularly on my Forum (New subscriptions currently closed/wait-listed).

Note that retailers, including EEC have moved on to the 2014 of the SC Pannell Syrah.

why mention this if we can't take advantage of it? seems very DYKWIA behaviour

Agree, its inappropriate.

Promoting their paid only site on AFF is something this person does regularly even though they have claimed frequently that they don't.

Question for folks here - what would people value Annies Lane Copper Trail Shiraz 2010 and Taylors St Andrews 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon at? Are they worth getting for under $30 a bottle? (For reference, Dans has them between about $53 and $57). Haven't had them before and wondering if these wines really are quality.

Well I guess its about interpretation but I'm hard pressed to see how a sentence which includes the fact that their subscription list is closed is anything like promotion.

Both are good wines (in general) in my opinion. Under $30 is a bargain if you're sure of the provenance. The St Andrew's has some reviews here: https://www.cellartracker.com/wine....DW1522185_3_Kc6aabd0ea6fe43830ab4d8b8091e3ece

The copper trail retails around $80. It has been a great wine in the past. VM had the latest Copper Trail for around $45 a bottle within the last 12 months.

Id take 5 cases at $30 or under per bottle.

But its not one sentence. Its multiple times across multiple threads. It represents a breach of the posting guidelines and needs to be clearly identified as unacceptable behaviour. It's an habitual problem that this person has. The person has been called out on it before by a number of people but continues to persist.

This issue has been reported to the moderators a number of times already and in most instances the offending posts have been removed.

Great find. I'm taking advantage of the code.

Mumm worked out at $24.32 a bottle for me with all of the discounts.

Also noticed this code (from my cashrewards site) if you don't want to spend $219 123450PROMO - $50 off with minimum $149 spend.

Don't forget that this code (an the various others) is still active until April 30.

There were some reports of concerns that the codes wouldn't be honoured for purchases of champagne and/or being used multiple times by the one person.

I can advise that my two champagne purchases that I ordered recently using the same code twice were collected by myself from my local BWS.

I will add, though, that my purchases didn't track through to cashrewards, so I'll only be getting the WISH card discount.

Every time I post here is a "promotion" according to some.

I think pretty much everyone knows I run a wine information subscription-only site/Forum that has existed longer than this part of the AFF Forum.

I don't need to promote it, I've reached a self-imposed limit on membership some time ago and that will never be increased, it's a retirement hobby, not a business.

So, report away, if the mods feel it's inappropriate, so be it.

Personally I would have nothing to do with RBG and his site.I found that unlike this site much rubbish wine was pushed by maybe RBG and his mates on his forum. He is only here to promote himself and his forum in my opinion. Why else would he make statements using his RBG name? And on this topic of Dan Murphys and other deals he appears at times to steer people away from good deals to infer that only he and his followers have the good oil! I do have evidence of a recent episode of this.
The thread is called "Dan Murphy's and Other Wine Deals"

We are all entitled to express an opinion whether anyone else agrees is up to them. Let's though keep to the topic and not start to attack the views of others.

On another note :-| i'm really late to the party for the cellarmaster discount seems like everything good is sold out, Grey label's gone, Maverick's gone, could anyone please recommend something else notable that we could still buy using the promo code?
