Almost certainly due to the APEC Leader's meetings in MNL and what seems to be somewhat of an overreaction by the locals up there in cancelling hundreds of domestic and international flights, 5J7296 (A333 RP-C3345), the 1300 hours from SYD to MNL on Wednesday 18 November 2015 took off at 2016 this evening, more than seven hours behind the normal timetable. Manila arrival should be at about 0100 on Thursday 19 November.

A333 RP-C3343 operating 5J7296, the 1300 SYD - MNL on Saturday 11 December 2015 took off at 1410 so predicted arrival is 59 minutes behind time at 1854.

5J7295, the redeye from SYD to MNL was diverted to CBR today account the SYD storms. The 1300 hours return 5J7296 (A333 RP-C3343) took off from SYD at 1732 and should be in MNL at 2259, five hours and 29 minutes late.

5J7296, the 1300 SYD to MNL took off at 1806 tonight, almost five hours late, with arrival estimated at 2228 in lieu of 1730 hours. RP-C3341 is the usual 'high density' A333 with 436 seats, a (feat?) unmatched by any other operator into or out of Oz for that aircraft.

5J7296 (A333 RP-C3342) took off at 1408, 68 minutes after its pushback departure time ex SYD on Tuesday 29 December 2015 and should be about 65 minutes late arriving in MNL at 1835.

5J7296, the 1300 hours SYD - MNL on Wednesday 30 December took off at 1351 in the shape of A333 RP-C3346 and should arrive at 1825, 55 minutes behind time but marginally ahead of or behind QF19, the 1225 SYD - MNL which today is about an hour late.

The Wednesday 6 January 2016 5J7296 (SYD - MNL) was due to depart at 1300 hours but took off at 1353. It is expected to be about 45 minutes late arriving at around 1840 tonight.

Sunday 10 january's 5J7296 will be about 45 minutes late into MNL at 1840 after taking off from SYD at 1350 despite a timetabled pushback of 1300 hours. Aircraft is RP-C3344.

The Saturday 13 February 5J7296 SYD to MEL, A333 RP-C3346 did not take off until 1406 and should arrive about 55 minutes late at 1850 tonight.

While strangely not disclosed on its online timetable, 5J appears to have changed its international flight numbers that had four numerals to only have two: 5J7295 from MNL to SYD has become 5J39.

This is welcome because many passengers find four digit flight numbers difficult to remember. Simplicity is the key.

On Sunday 5 June 2016, a day with much late running into and out of SYD and other Australian east coast airports due to continuing wet weather, 5J39, the 0005 hours departure from MNL took off at 0116 and is about to arrive at about 1140, an hour and 35 minutes late with RP-C3341 the usual A333.

With the very wet weather in and around SYD today and consequent numerous delays, 5J40, the 1135 SYD to MNL, took off at 1437 hours, with arrival likely after 2000 hours, so at least two hours 10 minutes late. RP-C3441, the usual A333 has the task.

On Saturday 24 June, 5J39, the redeye from MNL to SYD will arrive at roughly 1037, 32 minutes late. Aircraft is A333 RP-C3341.

Wednesday 20 July sees 5J40 (which used to be 5J7296 if I recall) having taken off from SYD at 1301 despite a gate departure time of 1135. Arrival of RP-C3342 (A333) should be at around 1840 instead of 1750 but with the main MNL runway unavailable until 1 August 2016 due to the large crack that recently appeared (causing damage to an EVA Air B747 - thank you to jb747 for including an article from 'Aviation Herald' about this elsewhere on AFF - these predicted arrival times may be rubbery.

Saturday 8 August sees 5J40, the 1130 SYD - MNL (A333 RP-C3344) having taken off at 1220. As at 1805 local time, the aircraft was in a lengthy holding pattern above Batangas (Luzon Island) so arrival at about 1835 if not later looks likely: the schedule calls for 1750. QF19 is also delayed and some distance behind 5J40.

Thursday 3 November 2016 sees 5J40 (A333 RP-C3345) - the thankfully renumbered SYD - MNL flight that until recently had an impossible to remember had an extra two numbers (and a different flight number) having taken off at 1340 with arrival predicted 37 minutes tardy at 1832.

On Saturday 12 November, 5J40 (1300 hours from SYD to MNL, A333 RP-C3343) took off at 1343. It should be at its destination airport gate at around 834 this evening, 39 minutes behind schedule.

5J40 on Sunday 13 November is again late, with A333 RP-C3343 (the same aircraft used yesterday) having taken off from SYD at 1347. MNL arrival is forecast as 52 minutes behind at 1847 hours.

On Thursday 8 December, the 0010 hours just after midnight scheduled 5J39 did not take off until 0114 from MNL. With A333 RP-C3345 undertaking the task, SYD arrival is projected as 36 minutes tardy at 1206 hours.
