I can confirm that Qantas are serving Lurpak butter on selected routes as part of changes introduced to improve our range of product offerings.
While much locally grown and manufactured produce is served onboard, Qantas have always worked closely with Australia's most respected providores and winemakers in creating an inflight dining experience to match our customer’s increasingly sophisticated palates and expectations.
Many of you already know that Lurpak is the world's biggest selling brand of butter, and is currently being used on many leading, international carriers. Qantas would never compromise on quality, and feel that this variation in product has a positive contribution to other Australian industries including employment, transport and logistics.
However your concerns and comments have been noted as such matters are always internally reviewed to incorporate our customer's values and preferences.
