Reminder: "Must remember to wash my hands after going to the toilet"

EH

Reminds me of the 2 englishmen and the Australian in the toilet. First English washes his hands for a minute and says at Oxford they taught to wash my hands thoroughly. The 2nd Englishman washes his hand twice and says something about Cambridge. The Australian just walks out while saying at school they taught me not to p!ss on my hands.

Well, if you want to see inappropriate behavior and dress- any day of the week, but especially weekends- try the Q Lounge in Perth.
Not only was it packed with (mainly) guys in singlets, dirty jeans and thongs, I actually had one sitting very close to me in a singlet with no shoes whatsoever!
The deal seems to be to drink as much of Q's beer as possible before having to fly.
All pretty unpleasant and lacking in the style Q tries to aspire to.
Certainly not premium class presentation!

Ah. I can hear echoes of the hi in the lounge thread , there really needs to be a " wet bar " for this kind of FF.
Frankly if Red Roo is reading this thread, he may want to let us know why dress standards are not exactly enforced . Or has this been covered off before?

It is I, Leclerc !

if your a male why wash you hands if you dont touch anything but body parts and your fly. the only reason i do it after urinating is the germs on the door knobs or if i have a manual flush toilet

I'm far from being any type of snob.. But that is clearly disrespectful & disgraceful behaviour.

Does the T&C not state that it is the discretion of the Lounge manager as to the dress code?

I've also witnessed fairly poor dress in the Perth lounge, obviously as the miners head home for the weekend. However, I haven't seen bare feet. Just for safety, this shouldn't be tolerated. What if he steps on a small piece of broken glass for example, who's responsible? I've even seen people with lip and nose piercings at the food bar - turns my stomach.

So then, with obvious concerns & observations, perhaps the lounge manager/s quite possibly need to visit an optometrist &/or take a graceful stroll around the lounge every now & then.
Just a thought..

Perhaps it just needs a significant number of protest letters to Qantas. We are complaining here, but have we done anything constructive about it?

No not at all.

If the miners are clean and their clothing is the same, what is the issue?

I also don't get the reference to the piercings. It is not as if they come into contact with any of the serving utensils?

I noticed that it looks like a lot of miners come straight from work, and last time I was there, some didn't look too clean.

My reference to piercings is simply that it makes me feel sick just to see it, so I don't enjoy my meal - eg I won't eat in a restaurant if a waiter or waitress has a lip or nose piercing (or tongue) - just a personal dislike of mine - not to be taken seriously.
