Did they only recently deduct the booking payment from your credit card? I've noticed that sometimes a pre-paid booking will be paid some time after the reservation is made instead of immediately. Had this problem with a Hilton $50 off a $150 booking offer a few months ago where the deal was till early Sep, I made the booking in July for a late Sep stay but by end of August they still have processed the payment. Had to contact Hilton to make the payment otherwise I probably wouldn't have got the $50 back.

Yes - was booked just 3 days prior to the stay, but the charge only showed as 'pending' on my cc account prior to and at least two days after my stay. Think that is what allowed me the save.

No I think it's only for UK/US residents.
I have however had multiple hotel stays on multiple cards and received the cash back, happy days :D

I think some Aussie Hiltons have gift vouchers but I think it might only be for use in specific Hiltons.

PF, do you mean multiple stays to make up the $300, or multiple stays each at over $300?

Stays in Sydney and Adelaide recently and $150 off each. Sadly only one more card to use, and that will be in Sydney again.

Has anyone tried and been successful pre-paying for a stay after 31 Jan?

Multiple stays each over $300 using different registered Amex.

Thanks, so from what I can tell, no one has yet reported success for multiple stays of less than $300, adding up to a combined of over $300 and still getting the $150 credit.

Has anyone tried/or been successful with the 40% off flash sale for Australian properties?

Edit: just noted its now changed to 8am GMT - although I could see the rates this morning, something must of changed

Had a look in the early hours this morning and didn't see any standout discounts.

I booked a flexible rate last Friday (DT Darwin in Dec) and looked at the sale when it started last night.

They wanted the same as I paid for the Flexi 3 days ago, for the prepaid sale rate

I have 2 bookings to be paid across 3 Amex cards in the next fortnight. Both at Hilton BNE.

Just saved $150 in the flash sale by updating my booking from previous rate. $250 down to $179 per night. My stay next week is higher than I've ever seen for HBNE, $390 a night...Will split the stay between two cards to get $300 back.

I need to book a night in ADL in January. I read somewhere that it can't be a prepaid booking. Is this correct?

I'd never heard that, however you could be correct.. I just made a prepaid booking so fingers crossed its not the case.

Arrrgh I rebooked one of my SIN bookings (under $290pn for executive room for 3) which I'd done a points booking for. But I forgot and used my Hhonors visa, not my amex. Darn it!

Makes no difference, as the cash back promotion only applies to properties in Australia.

You may be eligible for 5000 Hhonors points for using visa on the stay.
