Strong winds have struck SYD for much of Saturday 5 November thus far, so the east-west runway has largely been the only one in use, resulting in significant delays.

On Saturday 26 November, D7215, the 1035 MEL - KUL has been altered to undertake a fuel stop in ADL due to the MEL imported fuel fail specifications problem that has led to 30 per cent less jet fuel being available in the major southern capital.

This should add about 90 minutes to the total trip duration and presumably costs AirAsia thousands of dollars.

Monday 9 January 2017 sees D7210, the 0600 hours early morning MEL arrival ex KUL cancelled, while the return 0730 hours D7211 from MEL to KUL has also suffered the same fate.

At present during the Christmas holidays D7 has scheduled three return KUL to MEL a day so just what happens - assuming solid bookings in at least one direction - to 300 or so passengers is something on which it would be lovely to be enlightened.

Thursday 12 January has D7220 arriving in SYd (ex KUL) at about 2155, 95 minutes late. 9M-XXV is the A333.

The returning D7221 is scheduled to depart at 2140 but may do so right on 2300 hours. One wonders if things go awry whether it has or will receive a curfew dispensation.
