I have heard the 'reason for the season' mantra prior also from dubious American televangelists over the past couple of decades but have never seen any evidence of secularisation in Australia thus far.

A far more common cry of the religious right in the US lamenting the use of 'happy holidays' and 'seasons greetings' - although a trend I believe we should be prepared to follow as our Anglo and Christian demography is further diluted through immigration and changing social trends.
So what do you say to someone who is working...?

D7214 arrived from KUL in MEL 38 minutes late at 0858 this morning. Nothing unusual about that, but oddly the return flight, D7215, the 0935 to KUL has been delayed until 1300 this afternoon.

Unusually, D7212, the 2330 hours arrival in MEL from KUL is cancelled this evening, Thursday 3 September while D7213 has been changed from 0045 hours ex MEL on Friday 4 September to 1030, begging the question as to whether a plane is being ferried down from KUL, and how passengers are being accommodation: a long night ahead on the floor of the MEL international airport, airside?

D7212 that is normally due into MEL at 2330 and its return D7213 (KUL - MEL - KUL) are cancelled tonight. I have not observed this for a while.

D7212, the 2330 arrival into MEL on Thursday 24 September 2015 and its return to KUL, the 0045 hours Friday 25 D7213 are also cancelled tonight. Interesting it is two weeks to the day since my note in the previous post.

One might expect bookings during school holidays (at least in one direction) to be heavy so one would have to doubt that the cancellation is due to insufficient bookings.

D7223, the 1150 hours SYD - KUL (Sunday 13 December) took off at 1254 and will be late into KUL although FR24 maintains (just after takeoff, subject to change) that it will be on time. 9M_XXU, an A333, is operating the flight.

D7223 was again late today but this was unavoidable due to the amazing SYD storms. It took off at 1520 and is running two hours 46 minutes late with A333 9M-XXW set to arrive in KUL at 2014 tonight.

D7223, the 1155 SYD to KUL on Saturday 19 December (A333 9M-XXY) took off at 1307 and should arrive 59 minutes late at 1829.

D7222 on Saturday 19 December (A333 9M-XXV) took off from KUL at 0048 Sunday, much later than its departure time of 2335 on Saturday and hence is about to arrive in SYD at 1131, 46 minutes late, delaying its return.

The return flight, D7223 is timetabled ex SYD at 1155 but today took off at 1316 so arrival in KUL will be 75 minutes late at 1835, later than when it arrived in SYD this morning.

A333 9M-XXW on D7220, the day flight from KUL to SYD will be about an hour late in tonight at roughly 2120 but thankfully that still allows what is normally sufficient time to depart back on the redeye 'Santa Special.'

The 0125 hours Tuesday 29 December D7213 (MEL - KUL) took off at 0330 hours (A333 9M-XXI) and should be in KUL about an hour and 40 minutes late at 0820.

D7223, the 1155 Wednesday 30 December SYD to KUL (A333 9M-XXH) took off at 1325 hours and hence will be about 80 minutes late into Kuala Lumpur at around 1850 this evening.

D7207, the Tuesday 5 January 2015 0905 hours from OOL to KUL took off at 1007 and should arrive at about 1645 hours, 80 minutes late. Aircraft is A333 9M-XXJ.

The Thursday 7 January D7212 0010 (just after midnight) arrival in MEL ex KUL has become a not very pleasant 0315 hours. The return to KUl will face a similar delay.

D7223 on 13 January took off from SYD at 1318 in lieu of its departure time of 1155 with aircraft A333 9M-XXI. Arrival is suggested as about 1840 hours tonight, 70 minutes late.

Colleague D7215 from MEL to KUL (A333 9M-XXU) took off at 1145, 70 minutes after scheduled pushback, so arrival should be at about 1640, 50 minutes late.

A KUL to OOL flight, D7206 (2140 hours ex KUL on Monday 15 February) has run into severe problems with two medical diversions into DPS and passengers stranded.

It is now attracting media attention via Fairfax's 'The Age' and 'SMH' with headlines such as 'passengers stranded.'

So the issue with this one is the missing passengers delaying the flight (due to Indonesian Law apparently)?

D7223, the Thursday 18 February 2016 1155 SYD to KUL took off at 1315. It should be about 65 minutes late arriving at about 1835 with the aircraft A333 9M-XXA.

D7215, the 1035 MEL - KUL (A333 9M-XXG) took off at 1159 AEDT and hence will arrive at about 1651, 61 minutes late.

D7207 (which may have an 'official', altered flight number of D7207A) took off from OOL at 1141, very much after its pushback time of 0905, aircraft being 9M-XXY. Flightradar24.com - Live flight tracker! has gone a bit haywire and is not showing an accurate arrival time but it should be about two hours late in KUL.
