D7223, the Friday 26 February 1155 SYD to KUL (A333 9M-XXC) took off at 1253. Arrival is likely about 45 late at 1815 this evening.

D7222, the redeye into SYD from KUL is about 45 to 50 minutes late on Friday 4 March and should arrive at about 1130. A333 9M-XXS is the aircraft.

D7220, the 0910 KUL - SYD on Tuesday 8 March took off at 1032. It should arrive at about 2110, 50 minutes behind schedule. Aircraft is A333 9M-XXZ. This late operation will at least slightly delay D7221 back to KUL.

The D7214 arrival ex KUL in MEL on Friday 11 March should be about 50 minutes late at 1010. Aircraft is A333 9M-XXE. There is a lot of 'traffic' over MEL this morning with many aircraft in a holding pattern.

On Thursday 24 March, D7223, the 1155 SYD to KUL (A333 9M-XXC) took off at 1235 but arrival is not expected until about 1810, 40 minutes late and hence an effective loss of time.

The 1035 Easter Sunday (27 March) D7215 (1035 hours MEL to KUL) took off at 1111 (A333 9M-XBC) and should be about 35 minutes late arriving at 1630.

The KUL - MEL day flight on Thursday 31 March D7212 is about an hour late and likely to be on blocks at 2200 this evening.

D7214, the 2230 hours Thursday 31 March KUL - MEL (A333 9M-XXP) should arrive at about 0952, 32 minutes late on Friday 1 April. The 1035 departure of D7215 back to KUL will be delayed, probably until about 1100.

D7223 took off from SYD compared with its timetabled departuere of 1155, so will not arrive in KUL until about 1850, 80 minutes late with aircraft 9M-XXD, another A333 undertaking the task.

Thursday 7 April's D7223 (A333 9M-XXH, the 1055 SYD - KUL) took off at 1144 with arrival forecast as about 1820 hours, which would be 50 minutes behind schedule.

On Friday 15 April 2016, D7214, the 2230 hours overnight (ex KUL Thursday 14) flight to MEL is in a holding pattern above Bendigo, Victoria and should arrive about half an hour late at 0850.

On Sunday 8 May 2016, D7223 was airborne at 1124 despite a 1055 departure time: it is expected to arrive in KUL ex SYD at around 1810 hours, 40 minutes late. Aircraft is A333 9M-XXJ.

On Friday 13 May, D7222 arrived from KUL in SYD at 1045, an hour late with A333 9M-XXW. Its return to KUL will be delayed as the departure time ex SYD is normally 1055.

The fairly strong westerly at SYD (airport) has been playing havoc as runway 07 appears to be the only one in use.

D7223, the 1055 hours SYD to KUL is awaiting takeoff clearance at 1311 hours with likely arrival in the Malaysian major city at about 1910, 100 minutes behind time. Aircraft is A333 9M-XBC.

On Sunday 29 May, D7223, the 1055 SYD - KUL (A333 9M-XXZ) took off at 1112 but is suggested as losing time enroute, with arrival likely at around 1800 hours this early evening, half an hour late. The consolation is that it is closer to on time than was the case yesterday.

The Monday 30 May D7212 from KUL will arrive MEL about 32 minutes late at 2032. Aircraft is 9M-XXV, the usual A333.

Same with out SYD-DPS flights at Christmas :( bummer

Very interesting. Severe competition on this route will remain between GA, JQ and TT.

D7 may have its own problems but this may also demonstrate how yields may be under pressure. The headcount on flights may still be quite good but airlines want to sell seats profitably on an overall basis.

QFi has publicly stated that yields have declined although any such publicity did not single out the Asian routes: there was more emphasis on the TransPacific routes.

D7222, the 2340 hours Saturday 4 June ex KUL took off at 0033 on Sunday 5 June and hence is arriving in SYD at about 1045 an hour late, with the usual A333, in this case 9M-XXJ.

UPDATE: D7223, the 1055 hours SYD - KUL took off at 1331 so arrival at roughly 1735 will be two hours late, showing how delays on the ground can compound when numerous other flights are delayed due to poor weather.
