Has there been any news on Accor extending the expiry of points due to Coronavirus?
Are other hotel loyalty programmes doing anything similar?

31/12/21 showing in my digital card in the App.
I have checked my account and my expiry is still 31 December 2020. Fingers crossed my account will update soon with an expiry 31 December 2021.
Well, well, well. Just checked mine and it is showing 31/12/21. So it appears to be working for gokd like me as well as platinum.Promising. Not an Accor Plus member, so possibly there are wrinkles around the annual fee they are working through.

Mine too is showing expiry 31/12/21 as an Accor Gold. Nice.

I had read elsewhere that this was happening, but had not received anything from Accor to confirm it. But just checked my membership on line and it now shows Platinum validity to 31 December 2021. Very happy!

Still no update to my Plat membership expiry but I have no doubt it will happen. Loyalty Lobby has posted a copy of the official email which is doing the rounds which will no doubt filter through at some point.

The other plus is that all stays from 1 July 2020 will work towards status qualification for the 2022 year, so basically you will have an additional 6 months to accumulate status credits to determine your status for 2022. Sounds good!

Received email this arvo:

• Status Extension: The status you earned in 2019 will be extended to December 31, 2021 allowing you more time to enjoy all the benefits of ALL - Accor Live Limitless.

• Points Expiration: To provide ample time to redeem your points, the expiration of Reward points will be paused through December 15, 2020.

• Roll-Over Status Nights / Points: ALL Status nights and points earned between July 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020 will be rolled over to jump-start your elite qualification on January 1, 2021, allowing you to earn elite status faster in the 2022 programme year.

• Suite Night Upgrades: For Platinum and Diamond members, all unused Suite Night Upgrades as of December 31, 2020 will be extended for 12 months to provide you more time to enjoy a suite night upgrade on us.

Still nothing here! Was it a generic email or personalised with your details?
Only personalisation was the "Dear xx_X", appears to be pretty generic to me.
It looks like a mass send out, for example I'm only a Gold but mine still included all the info on suite night upgrades which only apply to Plat and Diamond

Cool. Coincidently I had an extremely pushy and border line unhelpful Accor Plus rep call me today to let Me know about the 6 month membership extension. I seemed I knew more than she did re what was going on, she continued to talk over me and continually pushed me to refer a couple of friends.

She went onto say my friends will get a very special deal which is an additional 6 months on their membership (as current members have received). She kept telling me how amazing this was - I had to remind her the only reason we are getting an extension is the fact that we pretty much can‘t utilise our member benefits (that we paid for) and probably won’t be able to maximise them for a while yet, which she categorically denied.

Ended up ending the phone call as I couldn’t be bothered going round in circles with her.

I’m sure my membership details we update some time soon anyway, these things seem to take some time for Accor to rollout across all members for some reason or another.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

All that has been announced for Accor Plus is the 6 month extension. That has not yet been reflected on accounts.

Does anyone know why Accor Plus members are treated differently? As a A Plus Platinum member I have no email and my status is only until 31 December 2020.

Completely different scheme to Le Club, sorry ALL, paid vs free. Looks like the 2021 renewal has come through for those with ALL only.

I'm guessing they are still figuring how to treat the Accor Plus annual fee for 2021, which isn't an issue for regular ALL members. I reckon the Accor Plus Xmas gift just hasn't been delivered yet.

cheers skip

Skip thanks for that. Let’s hope Christmas comes early for Accor Plus members.?

They have announced a 6 month extension, so they have figured that much out. By the same toke, they haven't actually done any of the extensions yet.

With a bit of luck they'll make it a 12 month extension as well..

Accor have this morning sent an email with an update for Accor Plus Members - looks good news but yet to digest it all. I have copied the relevant parts below.

For our Elite ALL members who are also an Accor Plus member

Like many of you, our travel plans have been impacted by government restrictions and concerns with the rapid spread of COVID-19. Travel is not only our job but it's what brings our global community together, it's the way we stay connected with our loved ones and it's our collective passion for travel that unites us. Nevertheless, when the time does come for us to travel again, we want to make sure you will have the opportunity to make full use of your elite status and points.

Status Extension: The status you earned in 2019 will be extended to 31 December 2021 allowing you more time to enjoy all the benefits of ALL-Accor Live Limitless.

Points Expiration: To provide ample time to redeem your points, the expiration of Rewards points will be paused through 15 December 2020.

Roll-Over Status Nights / Points: ALL Status nights and points earned between 1 July 2020 and 31 December 2020 will be rolled over to jump-start your elite qualification on 1 January 2021, allowing you to earn elite status faster in the 2022 programme year.

Suite Night Upgrades: For Platinum and Diamond members, all unused Suite Night Upgrades as of 31 December 2020 will be extended for 12 months to provide you more time to enjoy a suite night upgrade on us.

ALL Status Extension

As an Accor Plus member, you are also an Elite member of ALL – Accor Live Limitless and the extension of ALL status and benefits will also apply to you.

For example, your Accor Plus membership expires on 30 October 2020 and you renew in October 2020, your extended ALL status will be valid until October 2022 when you renew your Accor Plus membership again in October 2021. Your Accor Plus member benefits are valid for one year at time of renewal and therefore your Accor Plus membership will need to be renewed in the month of expiry during the status extension period to be eligible for this extension.

As an Accor Plus member, your ALL – Accor Live Limitless Status is assessed based on your eligible stays and expenditure in the full previous calendar year (2019) or from the beginning of the current year (2020) to the time of your renewal, whichever is most favourable to you.

Accor Plus Membership Extension

As communicated earlier, your 12-month Accor Plus membership will be automatically extended by an additional 6 months.

All current membership benefits, including any unused Stay Plus complimentary nights, will also be extended by an additional 6 months. Please note that you do not need to do anything to receive the membership extension. We will take care of it for you.

You will be able to view your new membership expiry date in your member profile on accorplus.com and the Accor All app by 31 May 2020. We will not be reissuing new membership cards and recommend that you download the All app so you can access your digital membership card.
