Has there been any news on Accor extending the expiry of points due to Coronavirus?
Are other hotel loyalty programmes doing anything similar?

My points were expiring on 15 March and I used 4,000 points + ~$4 to stay at BNE Sebel for 1 night on 14 March.

Should be good for another 12 months.

I have my Accor points automatically converted to my Velocity account. Now I worry that Velocity will go under.

Due to the Ibis Business card I'm an Accor Gold.

I recently stayed a total of 8 nights in Accor group hotels in March - 6 nights in Sofitel, 1 night in Pullman Grande and 1 at Ibis styles.

Was quite delighted to receive an Email saying that "Loyalty works both ways" and that I'll be receiving 3000 status points and half the amount of status credits needed to qualify towards my current status level.

Has anyone else received this Email or is it targeted?

All members with any status will be getting them. The bonus status points and nights are in my account already.

Received an email from ALL last night about status points and nights, which was handy for status renewal (got me almost all the way back to requal). However nothing in the email about points expiry, and there is nothing on their website about that either.

Mine are in the account as well. As I had already qualified for next year with a family reunion in January these points will give me a good crack at platinum if we are travelling in 6 months.

I am yet to receive the bonus status points and nights, but am wondering that by receiving the bonus status points, whether that is considered an "activity" and automatically extend the points expiry date by another 12 months.

Nice gesture by Accor but they now need to be more lenient with people wishing to transfer existing bookings to a date well into 2021.

Found this post on loyalty lobby which indicates that points expiry will be extended for Advantage Plus members. As an ALL member only, my email didn’t have this paragraph.

I got an email on Friday which included this sentence.

As a Silver member, we will be crediting your account over the next three weeks with1,000 Status points and 5 Status nights. Your points balance will reflect this once completed.

I am an Advantage Plus member. Just renewed at the end of February. I hope they extend the use of my free night.

Just got the email this arvo and checked my account to see that the bonus status points and status nights have been added. Only 16 more nights to retain Platinum but Diamond looks to be near on impossible for me to reach

had 13000 status points drop in 1/4/20, currently Diamond. will be interesting to see if i requalify as diamond but good point here is the 13000 plus some travel already done means dropping to Platinum is a worst case this year.

On a side note have any Diamonds received an annual gift this year in Australia?

Nothing for this plain vanilla silver member (albeit with 20+ (mostly cheap) nights the last two years). Enough points to not want to lose them... Used half for a cancelled (flex) April trip.

At the moment, not wandering
