It took closer to 20 for one of mine, very pleased to be able to help two of our AFF members get a nice bump, what are friends for but to share .
Mine is approaching 24 hours and no sign of the transfer :-(

Took overnight for mine to post. Still waiting on a transfer this morning to post.
It took 12 hrs for mine to transfer, not instant like others.
.Between +1 and myself we have 500K ("bought" via sharing in the last 2 promos)...slightly nervous about an AA points devalaution tho. post merger

We can both be nervous kpc but if you relax we might be able to do the LAX-LHR connection in First.
.
I thought the maximum you could get was 50K each ? , per promo .
If anyone is still interested in a last minute share, I might be able to help - PM me.
Stop being so nervous. Unless you're not planning to burn these within 12 months time or so.
Worse comes to worst, the devaluation may come but you'll be in a far better position than most to cushion it.
As it is, most people will do well either to make their last US DM redemption, or book ASAP when the ability to move to AA occurs (i.e. a travel goal within 12 months of the merger in earnest).
500k points, so about 250k each and over 2 promos - quite possible to rack up that amount using a "warehousing" account.

Fair enough - earlier this year I had an account like that, 2000 points from e-rewards (planning on the AA merger).
In October I purchased 3k points and the 5k went from there to SWMBO account which then had 10K. From there the plan went: back to me for 20k ... 40K ... 80K and 25k back so my account ended with 55K and the other with 50K.
Of course, this one is different so a strait off 50K sponsor would suit better.

Correct. We both started off with 150K in each account, and "bought" 2x50K each with the last 2 sharing promotions, ending up with 250K each, 500K total.

We have a family group of 7 so have bought 700K points (2 lots of 7 *50K) in the share promos and another 120K via buy in last 3 months. I share your concern about devaluations but think 1.1c / mile just too hard to miss. Given we have from time to time bought miles at the 100% buy price (=1.87c) any depreciation would have to be by 65% or more for this to become a "bad" price. Maybe Im an optimist but even if there is a develuation I'd see this as being in the 20-30% range and I personally dont think there will be a devaluation in the honeymoon period of a merger. Usually at least at the start of a merger you tryand do your best to keep loyal customers, it's only once you think you have them locked in that you start screwing them.Between +1 and myself we have 500K ("bought" via sharing in the last 2 promos)...slightly nervous about an AA points devalaution tho. post merger
