Ah, good one Jon - I do have some CX/KA flights that stray into next year, but less than 330 days.

Hmm. The only thing I can think of doing is creating dummy dates and bringing everything forward a few months in order to book the fare, and then call AA RTW to have the dates changed - would that set me back the $125 fee or not?

Bit hard to substitute the CX legs for a codeshare as they are the only ones to fly into DAC. Pretty much screwed if that's the problem.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Again, apologies for the double post but I figured this would be useful for others frantically trying to make the cutoff tonight.

I was finally able to make the booking successfully by moving the dates for the CX flights forward (thanks Jon), so that may be a possible cause for the errors.

For what it is worth, I kept routing and flight numbers the same - would it be fair to say that the AA RTW desk could change these dates without having to reissue the ticket and thereby require the $125 penalty?

In any case, relieved that it is booked and very excited to be heading off on our first DONE4 soon! Thanks for all of your help. :)

For absolute sure if you keep the flights the same then there is no $125 fee ! how i always book my xONEx's, i change the dates all the time as i choose.

In theory as long as you dont change the order of cities you can also change carrier etc, but i have yet to test that since i just chose the flights i want but close in dates, book it and arrange it once i am more sure.

Of course keep in mind ANC in seasonal.
