I tried signing up with my Qantas AMEX card but can't find where to enter the offercode... maybe it isn't for this card?

Try this: Login, and click on MEMBERSHIP REWARDS & BENEFITS in the top header.
Then click on Membership Rewards just below.
This should cause a menu to appear on the left hand side.
Click on Enrol Today.
The left hand side menu expands again. You should have a link to Opt in Bonus

Hope this helps.

If this is a fairdinkum deal, I'm taking the weekend off to score some points.
The cheapest item I've found so far at Woollies is a box of matches at 75c.
Buying one at a time, means $15 per 10,000 points.
Or 280 purchases of 75 cent matches, for a total of $210 gets you 140,000 points, or enough for a RTW flight. Nice.
Anyone think of anything cheaper?
Wonder if you'd get blacklisted from Woolworths for doing this :)

i also wonder does the initial purchase has to earn some points? ie, has to be over 1 dollar in value?

can someone quickly test this out plz, and see if u get bonus points straight away or after 1 month?

also how about buying 20 apples at a time, but sign 20 times?

Is it valid for Qantas issued AMEX eg: Qantas Premium Card?

i was looking forward to buying tic-tacs until the rest of the year ;)

edit:: ike, i think i may have answered your question

I have the Rewards Maximiser and Qantas Ultimate (which I cancelled yesterday). It went through without a problem.

I wonder if there's any limit to the value of the transactions or number of bonuses? My company has a merchant account, I could quite easily write a little script to put through 10000 one cent charges to my Amex. 5 million points for $100 anyone? :)

I was thinking the exact same thing; but what is your Amex charges; for some reason Amex rang me and agreed to lower my Amex charges to less than 1%, previously they were over 3%, not sure what the base charge was per transaction, I need to check that.

A purchase of 72c earns one point on my Platinum Credit Card:

Code:
Date	Description Amount spent Points Earned Bonus Points Total Points
Augxx	X $0.72 1 0 1

[most normal puchases on the plat earn 50% bonus points, but this transaction didn't]

i am on has a gold card, wonder if i get a point for any value less than a dollar.

what's cheaper than match box?

Some interpretations are that it is 10k/month

I've looked on my transactions, and it looks like they round up to the nearest dollar, if cent amount is greater than 50, or round down if the cent amount if less than 50. From your transactions, it looks like you also get a minimum of 1 normal point.
They then halve the points earned and round up to calculate the bonus points, but from your transaction it looks as though they don't round up when you've earned 1 standard point.
Having said that, this offer doesn't mention anything about collecting bonus points on individual purchases, but the bonus is applied every 20-th purchase, irrespective of the amount. At least that's how I read it.
The 8-10 week period before the points appear will make it harder to verify what the deal actually is.

Followed all the steps but after clicking "enrol today", it takes me to the "my transactions" page... looks like the Qantas Amex Card isn't eligible; or mine isn't anyway.

Thanks for the advice PP:)

I just used the link in post #1 and it took me straight (via login) to the page and then selected enrol.

Half a matchbox?

For those thinking about using your merchant accounts, I'd advise against it - some merchant contracts have stuff about not self purchasing (or something to that effect).

I think I've worked out my method for this promo. Will see how it works out. (and no, it doesn't involve Woolworths, but I do expect Amex Card Security to call me up at some stage to question my purchase history).

another question is: i have a occupational amex gold card, does that account as corp card?

my card is like one of those doctor/pharmacist guild card.

however when i entered the code, it seems fine.

All the Qantas Amex readers, I think we can not register???

Its for Membership Rewards, and I think Qantas cards earn direct FF points.

I'm a bit confused that some people have said that they have registered their Qantas Amex cards.... I can't register my card (an express), it just loops back to my transaction page..

Is that right???

I want in on 10000 points! :p

Any chance the first bonus posts before the SPG transfer reverts back to 1000:330 ???
