Not me ... first I have heard of such, but then again I don't have a NAB account - seems like the NAB are working around a loophole they perceive.
Perceive? See the following NATIONAL CONSUMER CREDIT PROTECTION AMENDMENT (HOME LOANS AND CREDIT CARDS) ACT 2011 (NO. 84, 2011) - SCHEDULE 1 Amendments
133BQ Application of payment against last statement balance, with higher interest debts to be discharged first
133BR Application of any remaining part of the relevant payment

Called and applied to upgrade my platinum to the fee free signature this morning. Not sure I exactly meet the income criteria (depends how they treat my bonus and a few other variable income streams) so fingers crossed it's approved.

They gave me $14.5k limit so I'm hopeful.

Anyone else had experience upgrading an existing card?

You'll need a 15k limit to qualify for the signature, I believe they are quite strict on that.

I was promoting the offer to a colleague who held a basic rewards citi card (4k limit) they wouldn't bump him up all the way to 15k, but were willing to bump him up to 6k where he was then given the platinum promptly. Don't think they needed any further details it was just all done over the phone.

I think you'll be fine as long as they're willing to bump you up to the 15k required, don't think they'll ask for any income clarification, but that said Citi can be pretty inconsistent.

I finally got the card, only take 3.5 weeks before the approval email came thru. As per others, there was the email requiring the paperwork even though it has been submitted and HR has spoken to Citi. I ignored it, guessing it was a system-generated reminder.

I also have a CBG which will solely be used for QF now.

Lastly, i can only imagine Citi will grab a decent market share by offering $0 Plat and Sig (from Amex?).

perhaps slightly OT but I'm receiving lots & lots of offers for 0% balance transfers at the moment... There must be a real battle on to grab market share. Perhaps things are tightening up in their industry

Mrs applied for the 60,000 bonus points Citi signature card.. Got a few calls to verify details etc and then the status online changed to 'Conditionally approved'. Been overseas for a few days so they may have tried to reach us but no emails or anything received. Status of application now says 'Declned'... What has happened?

I am sure this comes as no surprise to seasoned AFFers but I succumbed to a rookie error with this card. I was approved without much hassle and took up the balance transfer option, but now on my second statement have $150 worth of interest charges, despite paying all my purchases in full by the due date, leaving the balance transfer only. Turns out you are only eligible for interest free days if you pay the closing balance in full INCLUDING balance transfers. This makes the balance transfer fairly useless to me, unless of course you did not make any additional purchases on the card for the six months. Thankfully Citi have waived the interest in my case. Maybe I really should read the T&Cs in full in future...

Caught me out as well. Very sneaky. Do other cards work the same way?

If they cannot reach you, then they decline because they might think your MRS is not a visible Australian resident.

A question for the people that already got there cards. Did the supplementary card come in the same pack or seperate?

Looks like they have now added $10,000 more in income to get a Signature card. Wow must be too many people going for this card so they change the rules now to suit themselves.

Received mine earlier this week as an upgrade from the Citi FFL Platinum. Little value in keeping the Select now as I have drastically reduced my use of it since the changes to ATO spend. Extra 1/2 per $ Citi point and a Priority Pass not worth $700 to me!

I didn't know what the min limit was when I applied, and I like low limit cards despite my income being reasonably high. I wanted the minimum, so I put $5K on the application form. When they rang me they just told me I had to have $15K and still got approved for the Signature.
