One of our members has been told after following up a retro claim for points that domestic flights are not eligible for SCs or points when crediting to QFF, anyone else had this (I know some have had the flights credit)?

I think there is a distinction between MH 'mainline' domestic flights and those operated by MASWings (MH3900 and above).

BA for example specifically excludes MASWings flights, but QF does not, although they do exclude (in the MH earning section) codeshare flights other than operated by OW members.

While MASWings only seems to operate flights under an MH code (they don't seem to have their own, even if you book on their own website), they so have a separate 'brand' and arguable are a code share (if you go to the MH site it will tell you a particular flight is operated by MASWings).

[I would assume] mainline domestic flights, operated by MH jets will be eligible for points and SC earnings (well legally that's what the case would be unless QF decides to specifically exclude them in writing)

Will be interesting to see if the person who had this issue was on MASWings or not. If so then it makes sense as it seems unlike Qantas Link for example (which is more or less what MAS Wings is to MH) they are not affiliate members so no earn even if on MH flight number.

If they were on MH proper though then the booking class would help. Maybe MAS use different booking classes for domestic which are not part of the earn table.

MASWings and FireFly are the "JetStar" of MH. MASWings only operate to East Malaysia and FireFly competes with AisAsia. You can't even earn Enrich points on FireFly but you can on MASWings.

Because Qantas and MAS are both new to OneWorld I would say it would take a bit of time to "iron out" these things. I too have a lot of questions about earning Enrich points on Qantas local flights etc so I'm slowly working my way through. I'd be happy to share anything I find.

I am also heading to KL in a couple of weeks so I can try to find out more info :)

Not had a problem. Perhaps some more information like flight number and booking fare...

Not sure that characterising MASWings as a "Jetstar" like airline. They are more the QantasLink of Malaysia.

although MASWings operates many of its flights (the last two rows on their ATRs I read) with business class :)

You are right, I believe they set it up separately as east cost flights are often loss making but they still use many of MH's planes. So shall we call it upper class JetStar ?

Ah yes. That one. I was looking for the "appropriate" term but somehow QantasLink slipped my mind. Even though I was just reading about it last night...

From my reading of the BA site, it was only spending Avios that was excluded.

Anyway, as was pointed out in another thread, there is a general MASwings exclusion on the oneWorld page for Malaysian Malaysia Airlines - oneworld

While I know Wikipedia isn't the source of all information, it also notes MASwings and FireFly as non-member affiliates.

Indeed, and the OneWorld page I linked to excludes earning on Firefly and MASWings flights. I guess until we get clarification from the OP about what the actual flights were (e.g. was it a little ATR jaunt around Borneo, or a business class flight from Kuala Lumpar to Langkawi), there's not much else that can be added.

Not the OP, the member in question who PM'd me, I am still awaiting credit for my KUL LGK jaunt, the amusement of seeing the QFF system thinking I flew from a Greek air force base somewhat placating the feeling of missing 80 SC.

I suspect it is more likely that you have gone to Victor Private Jet airport (ICAO: LGKM)
(Which may be the same place!)

I have similar flights next month, so I will be interested in the outcome. As the return flights cost $11.29 each plus taxes ( more than the flight) I am not holding my breath for QFF credit

Depends on the booking class really, but have had no issue with 'V' class discount economy:

Slightly OT, but which Business fare class? There seems to be a number of issues.

I had no problem with SYD-KUL-AMS in D Class (Business) - posted after 1 week. But return flights in Z Class (LHR-KUL-SYD) mid March were a no show on my account. An online request came through as: "CLAIMED ON ANOTHER FF SCHEME" (similar to earlier post)...

I've emailed QFF scanned boarding passes that have QFF details / OWE status clearly mark. Hopefully a human can sort it out. Only need 100 SCs of the missing 280 SCs to retain WP :-(

my j trip syd-kul-cmb has credited as the correct status credits but as discount y miles with no status bonus
Am too tired to sort it out yet
WIll wait till the return trips hits the account in about a week if the last trips time to hit my account holds and see what happens

Then i plan on ringing a human
