my j trip syd-kul-cmb has credited as the correct status credits but as discount y miles with no status bonus
Am too tired to sort it out yet
WIll wait till the return trips hits the account in about a week if the last trips time to hit my account holds and see what happens

Then i plan on ringing a human

There's no status bonus with MH, you should still however get a cabin bonus of 25% for the KUL-CMB sector, there's no cabin bonus for flights between AUS and KUL.

J class is typically being described as 'Discount Economy', but in the examples I have seen, when you work through the miles and status credits they have been correctly creditted as J.

SYD-KUL will have a poor earn rate (0.75 points per mile)
KUL-CMB will be better. The cabin bonus should be 25% for KUL-CMB.

Did that very trip back in Feb. For KUL-CMB I actually got two lots of base points plus 25% cabin bonus. I am assumuning the 2nd set of base points was the double points from Qantas, though on one leg I didn't get the cabin bonus. I was so over trying to get any points that I couldn't care less about 384 points.

SYD-KUL was even odder, still scratching my head.

Syd-kul in J credits at 0.75 points per mile. For some reason, they credit at 1 point per mile, then subtract the 25% as a negative bonus.

Not sure why they do it that way.

cause even the QF computer thinks its such an evil accrual basis it has to be manually overridden :p

Though if you look at my earn that is not what has happened. It seems as if I have 1 point per mile, plus .75 points per mile as base miles, less .25 points per mile giving a total of 1.5 points per mile. Again maybe a quirk of the Qantas double points promo as the result is double the 0.75 that I should get.but cannot be too sure. But apply the same logic to the KUL-CMB leg (noting earn is 1 not 0.75) then it doesn't work out quite right either.

Slightly OT, but which Business fare class? There seems to be a number of issues.

I had no problem with SYD-KUL-AMS in D Class (Business) - posted after 1 week. But return flights in Z Class (LHR-KUL-SYD) mid March were a no show on my account. An online request came through as: "CLAIMED ON ANOTHER FF SCHEME" (similar to earlier post)...

I've emailed QFF scanned boarding passes that have QFF details / OWE status clearly mark. Hopefully a human can sort it out. Only need 100 SCs of the missing 280 SCs to retain WP :-(

Mine will be in Z class as well, I hope the issues are sorted by then!

Mine were Z calls too. Once it was established that I hadn't claimed on another scheme and provided boarding passes AND E-ticket to show original class booked Qantas was happy.

KUL-CMB looks like they've manually adjusted and left the cabin bonus out of the double points calculation.

QFF just left a message to say points have been sorted!

I'm sure the Hellenic Air Force would be delighted to hear that

Actually meant the other way around, ie CMB-KUL, but I reckon the whole lot has been done manually. As for double points maybe being done manually that's whats happened but would have thought double points would have been seperate rather than shown as base points.

Maybe I've missed something but how does Discount Economy fares to anywhere get you 120 SCs ?!

I suspect I received the same PM as well.

My flights BKK-KUL-SIN did not credit automatically. I suspect they were in 'Z' class but I cannot see that from my booking. I faxed the e-ticket and boarding passes and received credit within a couple of days.

Now I know this thread is for MH domestic flights but I couldn't find 'Z' class excluded anywhere on the earning table.

Z is not excluded, but it does seem to be causing troubles. Fortunately I was in 'D'.
