We may need a "I lost my Qantas points" stickey.
If we get any more stickies we'll be even further down the page

We may need a "I lost my Qantas points" stickey.
I'm not sure how a sticky would help. Given most people get here after the points are gone. What would it say? You've lost your points?
A sticky on cheap earning methods might be useful.
I think it was meant as a place to merge them all into, so there's not a dozen or more threads on the subject of why loyalty from Qantas (from Qantas) is expected if you haven't given it (to Qantas) for 18 months![]()
In that case a sticky is pointless for that purpose. Stickies, IMO, are to provide important information that is generally useful. Simply collecting stories of people who have lost and a heap of posts saying that's not loyalty is neither important or useful. IMO. IMO IMO.
Unsurprisingly, contrary to the majority view here, I reject the suggestion that loyalty is measured by short termism such as 18 month limits.
Perhaps QFF could introduce a buy back option at 2c/point. Only need to sell a few hundred billion points to recoup 800million bucks worth!
I'd agree that they shouldn't be in a sticky.
I understand where you're coming from with regard to 18 months (of inactivity) not proving disloyalty, but as far as points go, it's pretty clear there needs to be eligible activity, which could even be made overseas by sending $31 worth of food to a friend from Woolworths online
I believe the OP brought loyalty into the discussion.

You are spot on Sam. It was just my way of saying "here we go again".I think it was meant as a place to merge them all into, so there's not a dozen or more threads on the subject of why loyalty (from Qantas) is expected if you haven't given it (to Qantas) for 18 months![]()
Lack of customer loyalty? Bit hard to claim that when you haven't earned any QFF points over an 18 month period. It's not like it's the hardest thing in the world to do is it?
It may be blunt be you aren't going to see those points again no matter how much you threaten legal action...
The points were held by my 16 year old daughter who has flown a number of times in the past 18 months on family points not on her own.To counter your other argument I am not in favour of a 16 year old having a credit card and as parents we buy the food for our child and so there is not a need for her to go down to Woolworths to buy food.
If you want to make snide remarks I would suggest you obtain the facts before you pontifcate

(2) You won't get sympathy on this site as the people here know all the rules etc and like to rub it in.
I don't think its a case of liking to rub it in so much as explains what the OP needed to do, and generally the OP taking it badly and it turning into an argument.
At this stage, all you can do is send the program an email and hope for the best. Complaining about it won't change anything.
Though perhaps a PM to Red Roo could yield a result.
