Yep, got the same as you. But I noted that there were no "saver lite fares" available that day. Day before and after have $100 fares. Is the football back in full swing that day?

Footy is back by then, but they were all $99 before the changeover. sigh
I notice flexi fares have all increased across the board too. MEL-ADL was $215 before the changeover and are now $230.

Made a booking this morning, selected POLi as the payment option.
This didn't work sucessfully, however I can see after looking in my Velocity Account that I have a confirmed booking, virtuallythere.com shows the same thing.

Very strange!!

Noticed Multi-City Bookings have gone (something I use extensively) ?

At the moment the website is next to useless- cannot finalise flight bookings, cannot log into Velocity, try many regional flights and it crashes and some of the (domestic) prices that you can see are making Qantas look like a bargain!

QF just scored $5K worth of domestic flights this morning as my colleagues and I cannot wait any longer.

Yes I know it is only day 1 after the transition (and I'm not going to be giving up on VA) but- if you are going to do a job ......

Good to hear :)

Did a dummy reward seat booking failed at "Passenger" step. It repeatedly asked me to check my details, e.g. phone etc. without telling me what was wrong.

There are also some issues with Sabre Fare Rules. For example, I tried to book a Business Reward Seat. Most places indicated the following:

Flight Changes: No fees Up to 24 hours after the flight.
Voluntary Cancellations: No fees Up to 24 hours after the flight.

However, the "View Fare Rules" link on the right side (below the "Total") showed a different rule:

Fare Basis: ZZDAU
CHANGES PER TICKET CHARGE AUD 35.00 FOR REISSUE
CHANGE REQUESTS INSIDE 24 HOURS PRIOR TO SCHEDULED FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIME ARE NOT PERMITTED.

CANCELLATIONS PER TICKET CHARGE AUD 50.00 FOR CANCEL.
CANCELLATION REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 24 HOURS "PRIOR" TO THE FLIGHTS SCHEDULED DEPARTURE TIME.

This is a really poor performance by Virgin...today is a mess. If they're not careful their Facebook wall will start to look like Vodafone's!

It sure does look bad. I've given up trying to book flights for later this week, and I'm thinking it best to avoid VA for a little while until the systems are functioning fully! But I did baulk at nearly $3400 for a PER RTN with QF, might slum it this time with TT if I can't get out of having to go.

For those VA Gold members who were having difficulties selecting seats forward of row 7 (on a 737), I have just spoken with the Velocity team and they have advised me that only Platinum members are able to select from rows 3-6 and Gold from 7 back. What's left of the 'Platinum Block' of seats will become available to Gold members 24hrs before departure and can be selected (if available) online.

Disappointing...

Wow! Well, I guess there's an additional 'perk' for being platinum then.
This gold member is not impressed though.

Well, poop. Wonder what seats silver can pick then, 12 onwards?

I think this was to be expected. You can't make such a massive system change and not have teething issues like the one's posted here. They were already taking a big hit for having a coughpy LCC booking system, so the system change had to happen. Hopefully they will push through these teething issues and start launching new features.

It will be the way they handle things moving forward today and this coming week that will decide how the general public reacts long term. If they can sort out the major issues in the next day or two i think most people will be forgiving. If these issues stretch on for days and weeks they will take some serious damage to there reputation (and loose business to QF).

11 on 737's, 9 on 190's. Well that's what I've seen today anyway. Was previously able to select from row 7 on 190's with the old system.
