Interesting that some can get in and others can't! I just get error messages :(

Did anyone see an option for "Multi City" Bookings? Ie Booking International multi city?

Anyone know how to do a multi-city booking? Or has that never been a feature of Virgin?

They have never offered multi city (because Navitaire is point-to-point only, and doesn't support arbitrary multi-city trips). For long-haul international they could do limited multi-city trips over the phone.

However multi-city (including domestic) is one of the features that is rumoured to get "switched on" during the next few weeks.

Through my work proxy when doing a flight search ...

I've been getting that for about 20min but it just started working again.

Did anyone notice the increase in prices for flexi fares? (From the east coast to perth, not sure about other routes).

I certainly did! ADL-DRW flexi used to be $401, now around $700. And their saver lite fare is more expensive than a Qantas red-e-deal.

What's going on with the prices???????
Seems like the standard saver fare MEL-ADL is $200.60, which is extortion?

Fares have gone up for most/all routes, hopefully a temporary thing

My biggest dislike is fares ending in random amounts like 110.01 or 120.46 etc which is then rounded/taxes etc to a reasonable 109 or 119 etc

We'll see what happens over the next week, but Virgin is really just another Qantas with a similar/lesser offering (depending on the crew)

Try doing a dumy booking, MEL-ADL-MEL on 30 March, which is when I want to travel. Over and back on the same day. I get $200.60 each way.
The day before the changeover, these fares were $99.

It's the same for MEL<>SYD that day...no Saver Lite fares at all. Perhaps they've pulled them all for the Easter travel dates...seems to apply to Fri / Sat / Mon / Tue over Easter for various city pairs. And the Saver fares are crazy! Seems like a mistake as the QF fares for the equivalent flights are well over 50% cheaper...eg MEL-BNE $165 (QF) vs $445 (VA)!

I suspect there is an issue with that route - I get an error when trying to select a flight.

Yep, looks like I will haver to go on the SUnday, when saver lite fares are available.
All fares MEL-ADL-MEL on Easter Saturday were $99 before the changeover. I realise the sale has finished, but to bump all the fares up to $200 is a bit of a shock.

Yep, got the same as you. But I noted that there were no "saver lite fares" available that day. Day before and after have $100 fares. Is the football back in full swing that day?

Let the dust settle - VA have been doing sale after sale after sale for the last 12 months. They're not going to suddenly become uncompetitive just because they've changed their booking system - the battle to gte pax away from QF will not end until QF goes belly-up.

Just got this error when trying to make a booking :D

Oops, fatal server error. Contact administrator please or just take it easy.
