Mr Palmer, Queensland's richest man, bought the Hyatt Regency Coolum Golf Resort and Spa in the middle of last year, flagging a major rejuvenation of the premium 150ha site.
The Courier-Mail understands Hyatt Regency's contract has been terminated after it had operated the property since its opening in 1988.
It is understood every staff member will receive a $500 bonus and job losses are not part of Mr Palmer's vision.

Was at Hyatt Coolum at the weekend - saw Clive at Eliza's restaurant.

Hope it stays with Hyatt - quite a unique property.

Suspect an international hotel chain has a bit more experience running a resort than a bunch of mining execs.... but I can see potential with a few dongas next to the greens for the FIFO golf tournaments....
