If you're lucky your flight will be delayed a few hours so you can check it out! :p (Strictly just joking ;)).

Don't even say this in jest......I fly QF9 in 3 weeks and have a very short transfer time (1.15) to make BA12 in Singapore. This is one time I don't want to spend more time in Melb Flounge.....:(

We're in the SYD Flounge now and just saw two glasses go by that looked like they had pav in them:cool:

Seriously- of all the places in the world you could get stuck in, the QF Flounge would come up pretty high on my list of preferences.

Given the nice views of the runway, it would even top an old wine cellar or a Malt Whiskey distillery :cool::rolleyes:

The pav was on the menu on the 25th of Jan in the Melbourne Lounge.
Re massages etc - the Payot Spa doesn't open till 7pm. So you won't get a massage I am sorry to say.
All in all I was pretty disappointed with the Melbourne Lounge. Too tiny. For a couple of hours I was the only one there except staff. Did let me sleep nicely thought.

I like the fact it is small.. doesn't get very crowded and has a more intimate feel to it..

From my experience the spa is definitely open in the afternoon at the MEL flounge. As the op is flying on a flight that has F class I would expect the spa to be open at least three or four hours before.

After QF9 and QF133 depart at 5-5:30pm there aren't any Qantas or OW flights until QF29 departs at close to midnight. So it isn't surprising that there aren't many passengers in the lounge or that the spa is temporarily closed for some of that period.

The spa is indeed open until the departure of QF9/QF133 before closing for a few hours prior to QF29.

The F kerbside check-in also closes during this time.

Hmm. I must have arrived just after it closed for the break btwn the two flights.

I like the intimacy and personal service of the MEL lounge.

Of course I also like the impressiveness of the SYD lounge.

Anyone in the lounge at the moment??

Waiting for QF9
