So just 1 Saturday night to go! I should have that done in a months time on a very quick trip to Brisbane. If not, then maybe just a night at one of the IHG locals in Perth.

I am a single night¹ away from an additional 131K PC points.

The web site is currently showing I have still to "opt in for emails", but I have already received the 10K bonus point for that.

A CP Changi Airport Stay @ F&F counted; a HI Melbourne airport Award night with a few $$ purchases did not.

¹ Out of 10 needed

Have booked the last 7 nights needed to Crack the Case and should be completed early April. These last 7 nights will cost ~AUD670 and it helps that I have 5 nights at Holiday Silom (2 weekends as well in the other PC bonus points promotion) @ ~AUD75/night.

Would be interesting to see how many Priority Club points I will receive for crack the case (~105,000 PC points) + these 7 nights....

I'm moving closer to my goal.

The last remaining one is 18 different hotels. As of tonight, I am still at 7 hotels. Tomorrow night adds a new one, then I have five more added in April.

So that's 13 out of 18. Five more will be an interesting challenge, but still doable before the end of May.

Gold Coast?

Hmm, looking at booking all our UK and Europe accomodation, trying to juggle my need for Hilton stays (at least award nights count towards status) with PC and F&F rates (which are cheaper and don't count towards status but do towards Crack the Case).

Getting my 2 Saturday nights is looking hard, as well as brands - getting a HI Express and Indigo are my problems (having 4 to fit into a room is difficult, but 2 rooms can be too expensive unless I use F&F, but finding availability is also an issue).

There's an HIX at STN :D Stayed there on Thursday night before I flew out Friday morning, was quite reasonable.

Most HIX's you can get a room with double bed + sofabed, which is essentially a double bed to make it 2x double. Not sure if that would suit for C&J though!

That's essentially the problem - getting a big enough room for a double + single/sofabed, but still be allowed to have a cot in it - all without breaking the bank; or trying to find 2 rooms that are cheaper than the big one above. Trying Paris at the moment, hoping I can blow some Hilton points there.

Ah! So he won't be ready to share a bed with his sister then :p

No, he only started walking this week, so I don't think he's ready for a bed just yet. Whether he'd be happy to share with his sister - I'd have to ask him (not that I expect to get an answer).

Looks like I will be in DRW for OzFest and also staying in London at an Indigo and HIX at the same time ;), now to work out how to do that so the real stay does not become an overlap and not get the double points.

Stupid promo to offer 5 brands when you have only every stayed at three because thats all there is in the southern hemisphere/Oceania.

Now that is a conundrum markis10. How can you be in so many places at once . May I suggest that you bring forward your stays at HIx and Indigo to sometime in the next 3 weeks (where you aren't staying those nights in an HI, CP or IC).

Similarly, I have a sinking feeling that I may not make the 10 nights case and miss Cracking My Case. I have 2 currently, +1 for Perth (CP) this coming week, possible +1 for Sydney and maybe +1 Adelaide the following week. Then I'll be back in ADL with 2 rooms on Saturday, 7 May (which will also get my Saturday case open).

I have a 3 night award stay (20K + $40 per night) [in 24 May, Out 27 May) at HI London Mayfair and have a paid stay at Heathrow CP (in 31st, Out 1st June) - will that count?

Still need to get IC, Indigo and HIx for my 5 brands - IC may be on my Sydney or Adelaide trip (already booked Perth accom on Adv Purchase and couldn't get any F&F rates), hopefully I can swing Indigo and HIx in London. They will also go towards my 10 nights, so get me to 11 nights (assuming award nights don't count).

Phew, I might just get there!!

P.S. Realised that we are organising to catch up with Mrs LW's step brother in Newport (Wales) on 30th May. There's a HIx in Newport with rooms available from GBP60. Looks like we'll be staying ;)

Now I just need to arrange a stay at the Indigo Paddington for the previous night

I'm still happy to mattress run for anyone ;) have a lot of Euro travel coming up over the next 6 weeks.

Currently in the very nicely refurbished BMI International Lounge awaiting a flight to BGO.

Looks like it is going to work out for me. Have found decent price for Indigo Paddington (UK) so booked it, as well as going to visit wifes' step brother in Newport (Wales), which happens to have a HIEx. Convinced Mrs LW that we need to stay the night

- at GBP60 won't be much, but it unlocks the case!

Now to get the IC stay done over here.

Plus I had forgotten that if I am going back to Perth before 20th May to present recommendations to the clients I'll see this week, then I'll need at least 1 (if not 2) nights. So here's hoping I can get my IC night on F&F either in Perth or Sydney (whichever comes first and has availability, don't want to be pushing it to find a F&F night in London). So with my current bookings:

Code:
Date Property Nights Stay Sat 5 Brands
Current 2 0 2
28 April CP Perth 3 0 2
7 May CP Adelaide (2 rooms) 5 2 (CC) 2
29 May Indigo Paddington UK 6 3
30 May HI Exp Newport 7 4
31 May CP London Heathrow 8 4

So must get at least 3 nights (as I'm not confident that the check-out on 1 June will meet the CtC T&C's towards the nights requirement) and hopefully 1 is an IC.
