Just received a targetted e-mail to earn a whole heap of bonus points.

I've opened one "latch" so far, to earn 1,000 points.

Those are all of the questions we have for you today.

Priority Club Rewards wants to thank you for sharing your opinions. The information you have provided has been received and you are now eligible to receive 1000 Priority Club Reward points. Your bonus points will be credited to your account within 48 hours.

Thank you again for your opinions and loyalty. We look forward to your next stay with us!

It looks like to earn the rest, I'd actually have to do some stays at PC hotels.....

e.g. Stay 10 room nights, Stay at 3 brands, Stay 2 Saturdays. By doing so you earn an additional 88,000 bonus points.

Loyalty Traveller at Boarding Area blogs was talking about the same thing here: My Priority Club Crack the Case 162,000 Bonus Points Offer - Loyalty Traveler From the related FT thread, some people have been offered different rewards (and different - read varying difficulties of - requirements).

As you mention, it is targeted/personalised. As always I'm hoping I'll get an email, but if I don't, well :( but oh well, such is life.

I have the offer to get 123,900 bonus points though I have not had an opportunity to look yet.

I got the email at 11.30pm last night, just as I wa going to bed. Sleep was more important:
Crack the Case
WE'VE BEEN EXPECTING YOU
AGENT WILSON.

You have been hand selected to complete a very exclusive mission. Should you accept, you could earn up to 104,500 bonus points—that's enough for up to 6 free nights!*
Your mission: Crack open a case holding your bonus points. Several latches secure this case, but each one can be compromised by completing a task. Some are simple, others are more challenging. You will earn bonus points for each latch you crack. Open them all, and all the bonus points will be yours.
Begin your operation by entering your Unique Offer ID code:

The time is now. The chance is yours. What are you waiting for?

So time to try out and report back what were my offers and how far I get.

Screen 1:

You have been selected for a very exclusive mission. Accept and you could earn an enormous sum of points. Details are too sensitive, and the payout too huge to disclose more here. We’ve determined you have the skills necessary to complete this assignment. But the clock is ticking. Do not delay.

Screen 2:

We don’t have much time, so read carefully. Your mission is to crack open the case which holds 93,000 bonus points. As you unlock each latch, you’ll earn bonus points along the way.

Please follow these instructions.
  1. Crack open the case which contains 93,000 bonus points.
  2. The case is held shut by 4 latches
Take a Survey: Get 500 bonus points
Stay at 5 Brands: Earn 4,400 bonus points
Stay 10 room nights: Earn 3,300 bonus points
Stay 2 Saturdays: Earn 3,300 bonus points

each of them have a"View task" so I suppose let's get cracking.

Take a Survey screen:
Share Feedback Now

We want to give our agents the very best in customer service, but we need your help. Give us your feedback by completing this survey and you’ll not only help us serve you better, you’ll also unlock this latch, earn 500 bonus points and get even closer to cracking the case!
Once you complete the survey, the 500 bonus points will be credited to your account within two business days.

Just completed the survey. Seemed to be looking at the point at which a points offer will override a slight price differential between major brands.

An interesting variant to their previous Quarterly bonus offers.

I got ann offer as well. While I get 2,000 points for the survey, one of my latches is unlocked after I stay at 5 different brands. That may be a challenge

(Oh, and 8 Saturdays and 23 nights)

Yes, five brands sounds rather hard in this part of the world :!:

I wouldn't get too upset - one of the major requirements "Priority Club Select Visa = 60,000 points" - is not available for Australian residents.

As for me - i'm very unlikely to stay at an IHG hotel on a Saturday - therefore i will miss out on 154,300 points (60K for Visa + 3,330 for Sat + 91K bonus)

Was this in a separate email, or in the monthly points statement email (which I just deleted)?

it is a Priority Club Rewards email titled 'You're Invited to Crack the Case'

Mine arrived at 2330 last night.

Also got it today.

Take 1 survey: 1000 pts (done)
4 Brands: 2200 pts (very tough, only IC, CP, HI in Australia)
3 saturdays: 1700 pts (possible but currently not planned to travel on Sat)
10 nights: 3300 pts (as above)

Case bonus: 74000 pts. (probably won't get it)

My offer:

Take 1 survey: 500 pts (done)
3 Brands: 2200 pts (lucky as there are IC, CP, HI in Australia)
2 Saturdays: 1700 pts (not too hard)
10 nights: 3900 pts (a bit harder but not impossible)

85300 points if I crack all 4....I think doable. Would I then hit Plat immediately if completed in 2011?

PS: Priority Club Rewards assigns the latches based upon your transactional history and other internal
My stays at PC this year have been quite down cf to previous years so i think this has been a major factor in getting an "easier mission".
MISSION POSSIBLE

Easiest offer so far?

My offer:

Take 1 survey: 2000 pts
2 brands: 2200 pts
2 Saturdays: 3300 pts
10 nights: 4400 pts

88000 points if I crack all 4.

Seems relatively easier for me. No idea why.

I put mine at the other extreme and into the impossible category.
1 survey for 2000 bonus points. - Done.
3 Saturday nights for 1700 bonus points - possible,
5 brands for 4400 bonus points - impossible,
42 room nights for 7800 bonus points - impossible!!!!!

108,000 bonus points if I do all four. It's simply not going to happen!

I put mine in the very possible category:

No offers because you have enough points already :D:D:D:D

My offer:

Take 1 survey: 2000 pts - Got 'em
Stay at 4 brands: 2200 pts
Stay 5 Saturdays: 1700 pts
Stay 29 room nights: 3300 pts

83200 points if I unlock all latches - NOT likely!!!

Finally targeted for something useful.

My offer

Take 1 survey: 500 pts
Stay at 2 brands: 2200 pts
Stay 2 Saturdays: 3300 pts
Stay 10 room nights: 5600 pts

105600 bonus points if all latches are unlocked.

Seems relatively easy and I may end up at Ozfest 2011 after all. ;)
