If you are in Melbourne, there are quite a fair bit of stock at forest hill.

Coles' 'stocklotto' is annoying, but as you note, the dollar amount of the discount stays even if the item is out of stock. You can use this in your favour by comparing stock levels in Coles and the relevant LL/FC/VC store.

This doesn't always work btw. Today LL said zero stock shortly before my order was picked (1 earlier), but Coles magically found 2 when they picked the order (still less than what I ordered). I know what store it came from, as delivery had tracking. So this 'trick' is helpful, but don't treat it as gospel.
