Saturday lunner - 3pm lunch - At Bocca Bokarina. Everything shared with my former practice partner and his wife.
First their Garlic bread.


Then Meat balls and truffled mushrooms.




grilled eggplant and carpaccio.




And Calamari.


Then desserts. Pannacotta, chocolate cannaloni and Limoncello meringue.
All really good. bookings at weekends advised. It was virtually full when we arrived.

Little tavern in Poznan

Beetroot dumplings with chicken in cream sauce with thyme. Plus salad.



"Grandma Helenas cutlet " With onion
and marjoram. New cabbage with tomato and dill. Mashed potatoes. The pork was roughly chopped and formed into a sort of meatball.



My wife had a drink of elderflower with mint and lime.

All were excellent.

Last night at our new favourite Thai restaurant. Love you Long Thai. Began with chicken satay. Not traditional but very nice.


Then pork with green veggies and ginger and shallots sauce. Plus Pad Thai with chicken. We shared.




As it was spicy food day yesterday I got a serving of chilli to add to my dinner.


And a Sav Blanc to wash it all down.


One of the owners, a Thai lady, noticed that we had been a few times came over and had a chat with us. Was impressed that we had been to Thailand well over a 100 times.

Back to Tziki Bar today for our 3pm lunner today. Kept it simple with sharing a roast cauliflower salad and chicken wings with a pomegranate BBQ sauce. Beautiful.

Monday was Sofitel Prive Room for a lunch (but no menu). I saw the steak knives and sat at the alternate setting (didn’t feel like steak).

Tuesday was Brisbane Club. In my top 3 meals for 2025.



Oh my…I could have eaten 2 or 3 easily. Made sure I drained the sauce and drank it.

My main. Today so was up for a steak. Beautifully cooked. Easy to cut and the jus was hearty and tasty.

I had seen these Pasztecik around town but didn't try one. So while waiting for our train I thought I would give one a go. They became popular locally during the Communist years.

They look a bit like a Chico Roll and taste a bit similar - without the Chico Roll's refinement and complexity of taste. In other words they mainly tasted of hot oil and soggy dough with a slight meat taste. 02:00 fare after a long night.
