Jetstar BNE to BKK business lounge?

Hey flyers.

I've been booked to fly with JQ Business (Max) for a flight to a conference. Having never flown JQ Business before from Bris I have a quick question - I see the Max fare gets lounge access, however JQ 's own website (here) does not show a Brisbane lounge. However some other websites have intimated that the QC lounge at Brisbane is available. Is this correct?

Also, while the international leg is departing via Bris, I'm on a flight connecting from Melbourne beforehand. While I have done this plenty of times with QF in the past, not so much with JQ. I'm working on the assumption that unlike QF or even Virgin you have to collect your baggage at domestic and check in at international at BNE- you can't check in all the way through - is this correct?

QP should be the lounge and yes collect bags, jump on bus to recheck international

There isn't a QC at BNE, there's a Qantas International Lounge which means JQ pax don't get access unless you have QFF status or QC membership.

That also won't get access at BNE International. In Australia that gets access at OOL (QC) and SYD/MEL (Business Lounge).

Anyidea the rationale behind it? Unsuspecting pax could be buying Max fare and be very annoyed/disappointed.

No idea, and I agree. Especially now that BNE has 787 flights to NRT/KIX/BKK/ICN. Perhaps because it's not a dedicated Business Lounge or QP?

Though if a JQ pax with QFF status is flying they can use it, but that's entry based on status.

yes. This is the site I linked on my original post. As it’s not exactly clear ie GC has a lounge wheee Bris doesn’t. It does not explicitly say no access at Bris. Hence my question.

Also, that document has been the same since before the BNE to BKK route existed.

But they obviously pay for lounge access in Thailand,Singapore Bali and South Korea but not BNE. Just doesn't make sense.
