Just get CNY from the ATM in China at the airport. Easy :)

Almost easy. The main thing to wary of for a lot of ATMs in China is the order of ATM delivery/card return.

In Australia, the order is cash -> card -> receipt (or is it card -> cash -> receipt? whatever - the receipt is the last thing that will be spat out of the machine).

In China in some ATMs it is cash -> receipt -> card. If you've just got off a long flight, and in autopilot mode it's very easy to walk away after you have the receipt in hand and forget the card (.... I did this once, and almost did it again a year later, to prove that the first one wasn't just a fluke:) ).

I think I speak for everyone when I say "Narh, It's just you":shock::lol:

Now if you asked the people who know me well, they would of course say that "you are wrong and the behaviour was completely out of character" ;) NOT!!!!

I can understand leaving the ATM card behind, but the cash?,,,,,never:mrgreen:

I know someone who did... (wasn't me). In Australia on some/most machines apparently if you don't claim the cash within X seconds, it draws it back into the machine and stores it somewhere. A call to the bank can actually get that money back to you...

Big drop last night - back down to 80¼¢ ... just in time for me to head off :-|

Whats wrong.Still going down even though i am back and have my cash for the next trip.Amazing!

Just bought some US domestic tickets in $US. Will be interesting to see what they come in at. Whatever happens I'm glad I didn't buy them at 65c.

Re: Rising!!! Now?!!!

Well it's been pushing on past 80c and hit 83c on xe.com today.
My trigger finger is getting itchy, to buy or not to buy... going over in 8 weeks...

Er... um... what's going to happen? Crystal ball anyone?

It was 77c when i was traveling. :(

Still, there were some great sales going on so I saved HEAPS anyway.....

Go you good thing.
