Despite the lack of a wiki at the top of a thread, the tables still exist and are updated every week with new flights. There actually weren't many members who updated the wiki as it took some know how and you needed to have reached certain criteria, but we do want to find a collaborative solution for the future again... something a bit easier too!Is it my imagination or has the removal of the wiki in the weeks before the recent upgrade led to a decline in offers?
The funniest is when you bump into people you know in lounges when meeting was unplanned such as @nlagalle in SIN lounge and recongnising a voice in the HKG Qantas lounge and turning around and it was @Awesom Andy.
I used to update my travel plans weekly and got to guest plenty AFFers, all of whom were very nice and well behaved. At some point I’ve stopped posting my flights schedule for general security as AFF is an open group and it’s not recommended to give away specific details of travel in open forums on the internet.
I'll sometimes post in the thread and the old wiki. I've met up with @Matt_01, @Dmac6345 and @froggerADL for P1 chats. I don't guest into an F lounge unless we've met .
Just interested in knowing how you think a malicious factors troll can take advantage of the lounge meetup information?I had no problem guesting any AFFer who replied to my posts or sent me PM, it was actually good way to meet new people and have some interesting chats, something I miss these days as I’m still spending too much time in lounges.
My main concern is publishing travel details online on an open forum where all kinds of malicious factors troll and can potentially take advantage of this info.
