Feedback on the Xenforo 2.1 Upgrade

Personal preference, as I've never liked the circle icons identifying members, but these seem to be disproportional in size now. Too large. But I am sure the younger generation are OK with it.

I like that the little blue dot for going to latest message has gone (awkward on phones) - now just hit the thread title to go to latest.
I think you could always do that. I know on Cruise Critic you have to hit the little dot but not on AFF.

This had been the case for the last year or so.

Yes, initially with AFF Xenforo you had to click the dot, but this was expanded.

Do other emoticons work? They didn’t before. Will try now. Nope, just the ones in the Like area.

Coming soon.

But the classic view still looks little like the view I was seeing/using last week before the upgrade.

That's the idea, you can stay the same (mostly) or take the plunge to more customisability in the future.

Can you see how many total posts people have made?

We don't currently have a widget for that information, other than clicking on their profile. However, there is a built-in function.

Yes, so clicking a thread title will either take you to the first post (if unread) or the first unread post if you have previously visited the thread.

I see the 'calendar events' box in the sidebar, but is there a page with events in 'calendar view' ?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I'll be adding a guide to this at some stage, but users can add calendar entries to their own events from within a thread, with the link in calendar view linking to the thread.

Now on my iPhone and clicking the thread title takes me to the first post, not my first unread.

Things I like:
  • Avatar image quality improvement
  • Bottom mobile nav bar
  • Colour scheme switcher
  • Layout customisation options
Things I don't like:
  • FB and Twitter icons in breadcrumbs div wrapping onto next line in mobile view.
Has the ability to collapse forum sections now been lost with the upgrade? As in Xenforo has done away with this functionality? I know it was broken in the last version, just figured they would have fixed it for the next version.

More on this.

A thread heading that is bold, I click on it and I go to the first unread post.

If I look at a thread then turn back to ' what's new', any thread title that is now not bold ( previously viewed) , if I then clickon the heading, I go to the first post.

So the previous version you could see Notable Members by post count but not now?

I'm not sure if it was standard before or added but it's certainly not available right now. I will look into this over the weekend.

Also noticed that in the poster's sidebar div (Avatar, join date etc ) there's no right-padding.

We've been looking into this for the past few days too. Unsure if by design or not.
