Silversea cancelled our 33 day cruise from Honolulu to Easter Island due to the ship having to go into a unscheduled drydock :mad::mad:
That would be extremely disappointing. Obviously something major had happened. How much notice did you get?

I'll say - disappointing wasn't the word I used ! Those 33 days were in the middle of a 9 week trip !! And we had booked the cruise 2 years ago, and were with the head of Expeditions when he was planning the trip !!!

Bugga. That’s the thing that cruise lines never appreciate for Aussies and that is that due to distance we have to make a longer stay and the cruise is often the middle of a much more extensive trip. And we might book flights up to a year out.

Well, I am really looking forward to meeting you both but I know that is a small consolation. Our weather in Adelaide goes from cold to warm to wet currently so hope it stabilises a little for October. At least the vines will have started to shoot by then for the Sunday trip. And we are quite green currently, much greener even than Victoria which is very unusual.

The location changes yearly, and Sydney is about due for another chance at hosting it.

Sydney is cough at the moment... We should wait until they finish renovating the joint.

Especially that white elephant tram

I am about to put the next Hunter Valley Wine Country Visitors Guide to the printers. We are not green at the moment.

Photoshop helps.
I remember one year using a suite of Ken Duncan’s images, they were colours on steroi_s.
Tourism NSW has just released a new joint venture, so we have to use some of their imagery. The tv advert looks great, the photos are Shyte.

Will be interesting to see if you and MrP ‘know’ each other.

Agree, might be interesting to see if we recognise each other. As my new new started with QF in Aug I am now back to Thur evening MEL-ADL and Sun evening ADL-MEL with QF. Between May and Jul I tend to fly VA to keep my foot in both camps.

I am always in the same spot 4C unless some other P1 or CL grabbed it, then I have to take 4D. On the rare occasion SST I may be in J but this is normally for operational reasons or SST. My first world problems. ;):)

He dislikes row 4 so usually row 7. That seems the best chance for a shadow. C or D. Always aisle. And unless I deign to use his points for his upgrade ;).

Attending the Friday drinks and Saturday dinner. Dinner fees sent

That would explain the funds in the account, but waiting for them to clear before updating the wiki.

Any chance we can sway you to join the wine tour? Any anyone else for that matter... we can take up to 40 and are currently at about half that!

Not fussed about the wiki update. I am heading OS in a couple of weeks and just sent funds as I know I would have forgotten and on return would have been late for payment and then fronted up at dinner and caused confusion.

Most likely will not join the wine tour as I am only home with the family for 2 at best 3 days per week.

I haven't put my name down for the wine tour because I thought I would let the out of towners join up first because I can be there in an hour any weekend so will see how the numbers go

I can understand that line of thinking.

If numbers remain below the absolute capacity, please consider adding the wine tour at the appropriate time to join us :)

JetStar has a sale tonight with $35 fares from AVV-ADL if you're interested.

Possibly from other cities as well.
