If you see availability don't wait - book it in!
Don't limit yourself to the big hubs - check out the IB and BA route maps as they fly to some smaller cities where you could connect to AA, such as Philadelphia and Austin.

Am I able to book in the segments in piecework? Is there a fee for each change/addition?
The idea is to book as many as you can online in your first booking. Each flight you add after that needs to be done via the QF call centre. Each time you call up to add a new flight it will be 5000 points.

Or sign up for a couple of credit cards and do it in JNoting, if this is an economy booking, you need to add the service fee (8,000pts) per call. If booking economy, you should try and do it in a single booking if possible.

Hi stevier95 - found some J availability:I wish! I have the points but unfortunately availability in J doesn't look great this close to departure.

KUL-CMB UL J
CMB-MLE UL Y stop
MLE-DOH QR J
DOH-CPH QR J stop

LAX-HKG CX J
HKG-KUL KA J
KUL-PER revenue
Am I breaking any rules?
Up to 23 hours 59 minutes is a transit. What is classed as a stopover, over 24 hours?
Are overnight stops less then 24 hours not included?
Are you allowed to transit from the same city twice?
I'm thinking of adjusting slightly but would go thru SIN twice
PER-KUL revenue
KUL-CMB UL J
CMB-MLE UL Y stop
MLE-DOH QR J
DOH-CPH QR J stop
PRG-HEL AY J
HEL-SIN AY J
SIN-PER QF Y stop - does anyone know why Qantas doesn't release any J on QF71/QF72?? i literally have never seen a single seat available
PER-SIN QF Y

KUL-PER revenue
edit: (d) Only two transfers are permitted at any one city.
So all good?
Seems fine to me.
Have you seen much YVR-HKG-KUL availability? YVR-HKG seems tough to get a seat in my searches.
Also, perhaps coming back from HEL, you could do HEL-HKG-PER, instead of HEL-SIN-PER. Get to fly home on CX with better business class and cheaper taxes than QF

How do I book this type of Award online?
Using the multi-city to
This will work for basic itineraries to common destinations.
Only annoying thing is no MH or JL using the online booking - get your cough together Qantas >_<
