Hi Virgin team,

I originally posted my issue in this thread:

In short; I saw the 15% bonus offer on Friday (1st of May) and decided to transfer points from my citi account.
Points arrived on Sunday, without the bonus. I noticed that the activity date is reported as 30th of April.
I logged into my citi account and noticed that they too had listed my date as the 30th of April.
I then checked my email account for my confirmation of the transfer of points, and it is correctly dated 1st of May, 12:07 PM.

This morning, I called the velocity helpline to discuss this issue, but they were not helpful, insisting that the transfer happened on the 30th and that I won't be eligible.

I have emailed through my confirmation email from citi, and am hoping that someone here can give me a hand.

Thank you
John

Seems to me the issue here is that the transaction date is incorrectly listed by Citi so you need to get Citi involved in this discussion (painful as this is).

Yes I am thinking that too, but i'm not mentally prepared for the hardships of calling citi up just yet.
And even if I did, what would it acheive? citi aren't going to issue me some extra points, at best they'll put in writing somewhere that I transferred on the 1/5th. Which I effectively already have evidence of in my email, it'll still be the same fight to get velocity to acknowledge it.

What time of day did you make the transaction?

12.07PM, so during lunch.

I've had the exact same issue :( Despite the date being correct in the email I even received from them, the date is wrong in my Velocity account. I'll try and call them again later tonight.

EDIT: I phoned Citibank, the rep said 'sorry, our system says the 30th'. I asked for the issue to be escalated internally for them to fix the activity date, I will be called back within 3-5 business days. I'll try Virgin now and update them, see if they can just make things right.
