Surely a FA would ask (instruct) the pax with boots on the bulkhead to remove them.
A disgrace IMHO.

Controversially perhaps, the habit people seem to have of disembarking one row at a time, front to back.
The aisles are a road. If there's a gap, stand up - if you can grab your overhead luggage quickly enough not to impede other traffic - otherwise give way! Keep the traffic flowing!!

As a pretty infrequent flyer, I can't visualise this.
If a gap appears, that means someone up the back is holding things up, but if everyone has been disembarking front-to-back there's nobody left up-front to fill that gap?

If you mean that people aren't even getting up before the wave of disembarkment gets back to their seat and then in their stuffing-around they're holding everyone behind them up, I've not seen that to any effective degree, but I prolly only fly maybe once every two years. Mind you I can almost never just stand up & grab my bag &/or jacket and skedaddle in one smooth move, I always have to stand in at least the footwell of the aisle-seat grabbing my stuff for at least a few seconds, maybe I'm the problem!

This couple made a point of telling the crew they’d flown to Broome to buy a new yacht.

I can only imagine their horror at learning they were travelling on an all Y config aircraft.

How is one to stretch out or lie down in these oppressive conditions darling?

Another "not on a plane", but this woman takes the cake - literally!
After consuming her own breakfast, thought it completely acceptable to load up 3 large plates of pastries/fruits etc to take away


Until she was spotted by staff, lots of hand gestures and "negotiating" but she didn't win.
Staff member charged her for the excess she felt she was entitled to.

Can't say I agree with you on this one.

Once you get to the front of the queue, you then become the person blocking the aisle for the next person to get up.

What you are advocating is what we had before, everyone gets up soon as the seatbelt lights are off.

In reality I guess it doesn't really matter, what's 5-10 minutes in the scheme of things, especially if you have checked bags.

Depends on how pax manage the aisle?

If you completely block the aisle while trying to sort out your stuff, then that would be the case.

If you stand as close as possible to the seat and create a gap for others to pass, then gaps should be minimised.

Those on aisle seats who stand and get their things down are ready and waiting to go.

It’s the same with boarding… block the aisle and it creates a bottleneck. Scoot to the side and create a gap and the line flows more consistently.

We had several pax on a recent flight of mine that not blocked the aisle getting their carry in down, but then also stood there while they put on their coats and jackets, and fiddled around to zip them up and made other arrangements etc. You can do that without blocking others waiting.

I would never wear thongs, slides, sandals or other open footwear on a flight.
But then I actually prefer to dress up to fly, at least until I change into PJs to sleep on longer flights.
Then give myself a clean up in the bathroom and change back before landing.

Even if someone’s doing the wrong thing and holding everyone up … if everyone’s getting off from front to back, then if people in Row X are about to walk into the aisle it means everyone from Row X-1 down to Row 1 have already got-up and are in the aisle.

So if those people in Row X cause a gap due to fart-arsing about … there’s nobody in any row in front of them to fill the gap.

That’s what I don’t understand about it. I guess it’s possible those people in Row X are just fluffing-about in their seats such that those from behind Row X can head down the aisle; but I’ve never seen it happen that the people from behind Row X wait for the fluffing-about in Row X to finish, they’ll always walk past unless the person in Row X is blocking the aisle or are ready to leave.
