I saw this in the NZ Herald today.
Woman in crop top threatened to be kicked off Thomas Cook flight

I would have thought someone who was wearing appropriate clothing for the destination would be acceptable.
im guessing she was "on holiday"

This was how she was dressed. Personally I think it was a bit inappropriate for a flight but that’s only my opinion.

Its not to my choice (looks too much like a bikini or bra) but its not indecent.

Shes young and beautiful - if people are upset by shoulders and a bit of side skin then they are going to be shocked when they get to their destination (which I think was Spain).

Well these days tops are cut so low and revealing that you can see them in full anyway. In my day even to show a strap was a fashion faux pas. But seriously there are far worse things on planes than that. Like dirty smelly feet in thongs.

As mentioned, it is a very slippery slope and views right across the spectrum, but for me I have always felt to dress around the "smart casual" mark. Maybe its because i use lounges or how your flying, but i just think its a bit of respect for the airport/airlines/staff etc. Even on those rare things called holidays, I still dress i think respectable, even with shorts.

Some of the things I've seen recently in BKK et al. are even "worse" (maybe the word "less" is a better fit) than the girl in the original story.
