Just curious.

It's been snowing in Sapporo all day, with a high of 2 degrees and a low of 0. Today is the first heavy snowfall for the season (downtown), and apparently it's supposed to warm up again tomorrow.

With the thread today about the Californian coastline, dolphins, beaches & golf was just wunder'in, what's the weather like in your part of the world now?

I spent 45 minutes circling Tullamarine this afternoon while a front passed through, but it was quite pleasant flying out tonight. SYD is humid.

Really lovely day in Mumbai today, and tonight - fine, warm and a refreshing breeze.

Pity I was stuck in an office.

In the sub-artic region of far north canada it is currently MINUS 16 and that is warm for this time of year.

there is a pretty bad fog and that means that the planes to the mine are unable to come in with the new shift and take the old shift back home - big delays.

it is currently light for about 7 hours per day and that will shorten up even further to about 2.5 hours per day by the 21st of december, and get a whole lot colder.

Very different to Brisbane where i live ...

happy travels and good weather for you all :D

In SYD today we had a very heavy storm between 4.50pm and 4.58pm. I left a meeting without an umbrella at 4.50pm and got on my bus at 4.58pm.

If anyone is a keen snow skier. I received a call from a friend at Whistler in Canada who said they have had the most snow at the beginning of a season for 10 years with Blackcomb Mountain open last week and Whistler opened yesterday. Also, Grouse, Cypress and the other ski areas in close proximity to Vancouver have also opened and it is the first time in the history of the mountains that they have opened this early.
Although it has been snowing heaps the weather is apparently quite mild

it has been a warm period over most of western and north western canada for sometime now.

'warm' weather brings the snow. when it gets really cold usually the snow stays away.

it's now minus 8 in the far northern region where i am and this has helped to create a 2 day fog and blizzard which has delayed planes out of the mine site for 2 days.

people waiting to get in and out... very inconvenient.

most of the ski slopes at Banff have opened last weekend too. most people cannot remember when this happened at this time of year previously.

very funny weather going on ...

Warm here too (about 5 degrees & back to rain today). The snow in Sapporo/ Niseko is late this year, as it was last year. However if anyone is heading this way to ski I wouldn't worry.
