What I ate today - the food thread

Breakfast QR 831 on Friday. French toast.

Then snack. We both had the lamb shank.

Mrsdrron thought that the lamb shank on JQ was better. A bit dry, not that much taste and a significant amount of fat.

Then I had the cheese board which was very good and Mrsdrron had coconut banana with coconut ice cream which was OK.

Tonight’s dinner at Maenan Abbey, Wales
I began with venison pate with just a hint of chilli. Loved it.IMG_2502.jpeg

Mrsdrron missed the starter. She had the salmon for main.

Enjoyed it immensely. Then a chat in the lounge with our host and other guests to round off a lovely evening

One of the few places now in Bali Collection with "free transport" back to your hotel.
Still reasonably priced ~ AUD 63 including taxes, 2 coughtails and a lemonade.

It is where Maximilians used to be which was an institution in Adelaide for many years
