OK it's summer, it's beach time, and I mourn the loss of Australia's wonderful beaches, they feel worse than European beaches now.
This week been down at the local beach near our holiday house, and several times we struggled to find a small patch of sand to put a couple of towels on. It never used to be like this..
As a Vic peninsula local @dajop , it is not only the beaches - we don't bother to go till 1st week of February, though I do my daily walk by 8am most days.Nevermind, I'm not going back this month, but probably will be back during second half of Feb when the weather is more consistent, the water is warmer and the crowds have subsided (IMHO optimal time for beach in southern Victoria is mid Feb - mid Mar).
It is the traffic, the not necessarily polite folk who shop in packs of 4+ in our supermarket and the chemist, being unable to park outside our house, and don't get me started on barely clothed folk male and especially female
Rant over.
Less than 30 sleeps and life returns to normal.
I love where we live for 10 months of the year
