Check-in cut off for domestic with an international connection is 45 mins.

so even closer to 5am would be fine

Also if you're not used to taking 6-6:30 flights, don't be alarmed if the gate is open and people have boarded already. They tend to open the gates early and everyone gets onboard ahead of time and people continuously get on.

… We tried Uber once and the driver got lost going to the airport (go figure !!) …

Got a Didi at 345am...5 min wait.. $39.

Uber was $54. Did not prebook.

All the worry for nothing. Tossed and turned and didnt really sleep. Note to self: avoid 0600 flights in future at all costs!!

Ok arrived at T3 at 0415. Manned counter deserted. Managed to self print luggage tag to Ror via Bne but wait, bag drop not open. Will open at 0440...sigh...

Edit: and now have to wait 10mins for Qf lounge to open at 0600!!
