What cheeses me off

Given up, I'll make do with what I have and investigate further on return.

I may get the 200 - 800 rf lens instead! Good for bright sunny days.......
I once had a delivery from NZ (think is was through maybe Toll) - had to dig around to find the actual consignment number. But did eventually find tracking info. Came home to find a card in mailbox - we missed you etc. Out to the depot - out comes the parcel with large printing - couldn't find address - What the heck? How could you leave a card then?

To be fair a supervisor called me (and reached out via app) first thing next day, admitted issue with a flag on their end fixedaand gave me 1k QFF points for trouble. All working OK now.
Moot point anyway, WCMO is apps that will only let you install if your account is registered in a particular country.

Yes, I'm looking at you AMP Go............. UK registered account = no good.

I had aussie post the other day send an email saying unable to delivery because "no one in attendance"

I logged a complaint, advising that I checked hours of camera footage and there was zero attempt to make a delivery and our office doors were open and they need to investigate for fraudulent payments to drivers in this case.

Within an hour of my complaint my item was back out for delivery and it came that day. Person just tossed it at the door so why couldnt they have done that in the first place?

We have 4 buildings of 4 apartments each where we rent in Brisbane.

It's amazing the number of times delivery is left on the front door steps of our apartment building as we are at the front of the complex. Obviously no attempt to match the unit number of the delivery to the actual building. I guess it doesn't help that's its a secure building.

I also see food deliveries laying around with what appears to be no attempt to ring the bell. There was one there from Nandos for at least 30 minutes until the person came out looking for delivery.

When you post in a group about calcium content of a product because of hypercalcaemia and someone responds about how their blood sugars have been so good since taking the product.

🤦‍♀️
HyperCALcaemia, not hyperGLYcaemia!

WCMO - big time - is the State Library of Tasmania.

They have, on display at eye-level for children, a book with a high-level obscenity in the bold title. God knows, I swear like a trooper - but on display? School hols, plain to see?

A pic - behind the 'spoiler' button - has the obscenity blacked out (but the word still discernible). Stand proud - promoting literacy, State Library of Tasmania.

Wonder if they've done it themselves, or if someone else is playing silly buggers?

No, its been there for weeks. I complained to 'the desk' today but they just shrugged it off. 'Its up to parents to control their children'.

I then challenged the 'lady' to say the word if it was OK - and she did. Staff at the State Library of Tasmania - standing proud, promoting literacy.

Surely they can't be serious?

Yes, I realise what I just did there

There were 3 on the desk. One I know well and she didn't say anything. Another, a guy, looked extremely uncomfortable. The other one ... well, what can I say. She also said the 'C word' 'might not be constructed as an obscenity in certain contexts'. Yep, from that type of babble we'll probably have it on the curriculum.

As it happens, I'm currently in discussion with the relevant Minister's senior adviser about another issue. I might pass the pic onto her (the minister is very conservative).

Common usage in Chaucer's time.

Next folk will be complaining about the NT tourism campaign!

Surely you recall this

Fortunately no!

My general thoughts on people who use gratuitous obscenities, especially in public are they generally are not very talented and need to use the shock value and ‘look at me look at me’ to get the attention they would not get on the simple quality of the work or performance.

That NT add would fit that, as would the book above and many stand-up ‘comics’.

This is one word I find completely unacceptable. I don't know why it's suddenly ok now. I'll say pretty much all other stuff. Never this one.

Yeah but so many now banned (and rightfully so) words were in use just a decade ago.

Hazmat suit on. In some circles I cannot call myself a woman but a cis-female. Who knew what turned out to be acceptable?

One of these days I'm going to get in trouble.

Waiting in queue with wife and daughter at BKK airport to scan boarding pass and go up to security then immigration. There are 3 queues with about 6-7 in each queue.

Woman comes and cuts queue in from of me. I don't need to treat them with respect. "F..k off", looks at me and goes to back of queue. Trying to save 2-3 spots in short queue. Are these people really that stupid?
