* services from other Australian states will depart as per current schedules but arrive in Western Australia one hour later.
* there would be no change to departure and arrival times for Qantas and QantasLink services within Western Australia

I was due to arrive SYD-PER at 14:15 on 27th December 06 and depart PER-SIN at 15:30. Now I arrive at 15:15 and depart at 16:30.
I was also due to return SIN-PER at 00:55 and now that flight returns at 01:55. It now means I only have to wait 4 hours, instead of 5 hours, for my 05:50 PER-SYD flight. I wonder if domestic QP is open at that late hour or do I have to bring my own Crown Lager? Or Singha? Or Tiger?
Thank you.
Darn I will have to buy a few Singhas or Tigers in SIN before departure!straitman said:Probably only coffee at that hour of the morning :!:
serfty said:OT: 75 mins PER Dom-Int, that's a tight connection. Mate your're not gunna see much of the QP on that one (unless your outbound is late)!
Not me! That is a QF sanctioned connection.serfty said:OT: 75 mins PER Dom-Int, that's a tight connection. Mate your're not gunna see much of the QP on that one (unless your outbound is late)!

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements
Also, I was aware of no issue with the MCT; I was just envisaging boarding commencing before you even get through immigration.A complimentary shuttle bus service is available to Qantas passengers (includes codeshare flight passengers) for transfers between Terminals 1 and 2.
A bus ticket is required, that can be collected from the sales desk in either Terminal. All other connections, including Qantas to and from any other carrier, incur a charge of A$7.00 that is payable to the bus driver.

Qantas said today it would revise its schedules to accommodate the trial of daylight saving in Western Australia from 3 December, 2006.
Zulaiha said:Why suddenly? Can't those people think a year ahead???? And why do Qantas had to agreed to this stupid idea in the first place???? Is this country been run by a dictator now that people had no say anymore?????
And what would you suggest Qantas do? Tell the WA government that they think it is a bad idea, and they aren't going to go along with it?Zuhaila said:Yes, at who's cost???? Us the low end family had very limited income, who only just afford flying on very low fares. We are effected deeply by this changes and what do Qantas offer to us? 2 options, take it or leave it. They will refund us in full (great, but will not accomodate the price changes happened today, despite we paid in cash to Qantas over a month ago ~ Shame on you!!!!). Despite of we are loosing our money on the Denpasar to Jakarta domestic flight (again only 3 "cheap" non refundable tickets thanks to 1 hour delay on arrival) which means we will loose all money paid does not matter to them, plus now we have to pay another 3 ticket plus extra overnight cost in Denpasar is again that is none of Qantas business. Qantas just had to comply with stupid idea to start with!!!!! Is not that sad?
Again, nothing to do with Qantas. Qantas set the schedules based on WA being eight hours ahead of UTC, with the NT being 9.5 hours ahead, QLD being 10 hours ahead, SA (and Broken Hill) being 10.5 hours ahead and NSW, Vic and Tas being 11 hours ahead of UTC.Zuhaila said:The fact that this changes depressed me for 3 days now, that does not matter either.
Umm, Qantas hasn't agreed to anything, Qantas has merely adjusted schedules to reflect the reality of the decision by the government of Western Australia to introduce daylight saving in that state. It would be pretty silly for Qantas to state that planes would arrive and depart at a certain time if that was physically impossible, wouldn't it?
And what would you suggest Qantas do? Tell the WA government that they think it is a bad idea, and they aren't going to go along with it?

WA has changed this (note Western Australia, NOTQantas), with WA now being 9 hours ahead of UTC, with the rest of Australia remaining the same.
So your rant against Qantas is totally without foundation - it was not Qantas who made the decision, but the government of the sovereign state of Western Australia. It is the government of Western Australia which decides what will happen, and private companies have to work around this.
