Credit Card Offers Virgin Money Velocity Flyer Offers & Discussion

Adding some data to this thought from a while back...

I just successfully applied for Virgin Money and NAB cards. The questions asked during the application processes were different, with the NAB form requiring more details about income and spending patterns. I applied simultaneously but approval took one day for VM and five days for NAB.
My understanding (backed up by my experience) is that while in theory NAB has finalised purchase of the old Citi portfolio in reality integration of the two is far from complete. In particular, my experience (and what commentary I’ve found) would suggest both systems and processes using those systems are yet to be fully integrated. This appears to tally with your experience!

I don't plan on using this card overseas (due to fee's etc) but have it as a backup. However, what really annoys me is you need to call support to notify of overseas travel. The app doesn't have an overseas travel notification option. I called the support number the other day and couldn't figure out how to get onto the correct person, I was just going around in circles. I'll try again, but it's a bit ridiculous. Hopefully NAB can sort this out.

I've never told them when heading OS, and mine has always worked overseas without being blocked or any issues.

Is anyone else having issues with Velocity Points not showing on their latest statement or points being transferred to their accou t? I have been on the phone for over an hour and no one can answer

The latest platform migration they did has been a disaster. I cant see my points balance and can only log in via the app now, not the new browser platform. I think this part of it is run by BoQ so no surprises it failed.

NAB (BoQ has nothing to do with 'Virgin Money Credit Cards', which is a different business to 'Virgin Money' operated by BoQ.
NAB has been migrating customers from the old Citibank platform to the NAB platform, as far as I am aware.
But yes, points are not showing on my current statement either. I'm sure they'll sort it out.
They haven't been accepting any new card applications since they started the migration on 26th October, and still aren't to this day, which indicates to me they are still working on it ('Please note, applications for a new credit card are temporarily unavailable from 26 October 2025.').

I have not received the Velocity points from my last statement. Additionally, this is the second month of my new sign-up promotional period so I will be due 25k points for hitting the spend target and a further 20k bonus points. The 25k points for my hitting my first month landed within a few days of the statement being issued.

Update on this, I've just spoken with Virgin Money Credit Cards, they are aware of the Velocity points not showing for the last 2 months, but the ETA to have this fixed is today (05/12/2025).
All points for the last 2 months will show up on any statements issued from next week onwards.

Virgin Money Australia, a division of Bank of Queensland Limited ABN 32 009 656 740,Australian Credit Licence 244616 (“BOQ”), promotes and distributes the Virgin Money Credit Cards ("Credit Cards"). National Australia Bank Limited ABN 12 004 044 937 Australian Credit Licence 230686 (“NAB”) is the credit provider and issuer of the Credit Cards.

I dunno where the IB platform lays but it sucks, hence i suspect BoQ.

Ahh well, sounds like it'll all be back to normal from next week, thankfully. Fingers crossed they don't overshoot the ETA.
I definitely prefer the layout of the new statements to the Citi issued ones, which looked like something from the 90's

The points from my November statement, and the bonus points for hitting the spend target were both credited to my account yesterday.
