Vinomofo Wine Deals

Qood question. Dave Brookes judges all the Barossa wines for them and he's pretty reliable, although he rarely rocks the boat and gives a low score to a high RRP wine. I will proceed with caution on Three Springs 2023, but will try it.
Okay the Schild Estate Three Springs Shiraz 2023 arrived late last week.

I tried 2 bottles over 3 nights, to get my head around this 96 point Wine Companion ranking (which allegedly puts it at a par with Hentley Farm The Beast and Glaetzer Amon-Ra).

I liked it more then the 2021 in terms of length and finish. It opened up more into night 2 so it's probably too early to judge. But I will. Perfume lacking, nothing really for the nose. Neither the taste of the fruit or the oak is outstanding, although it is balanced.

Vinous (Angus Hughson) scored the wine 91 points, which seems more appropriate.

Side note - they have stuck stickers of the 96 point ranking over the label to try and convince you that it's brilliant before you drink it.

Thanks for the insightful tasting notes. It sounds marginally better than the 2021 but still a fairly lacklustre affair, from the description I can't see it necessarily blossoming into anything astonishing further down the track.. 🫤

Yep.

Like most of these fake RRP wines it was overhyped and underwhelming. IMO there are much better Barossa shiraz discounted to $25-35 in the market.

Agree, Schild Estate is one of those that I have found super inflated in price, and what appears a great price discounted around various sites, is a very below average wine such as the Three Springs.

All the CW Wines brands follow that strategy. CW Wines
And there are some other brands in their portfolio that are not even listed on their site.
